2008 A N N U A L N E W S L E T T E R 2009

This season proved to be a memorable one for great sport

fishing in the Cartwright Sound. Our Salmon runs were continuous

and the bottom fishing active all summer. Queen Charlotte Safaris

welcomed more members into the QCS 40 pound Chinook club than

ever before and a new lodge record was set for Coho at 19.5 pounds.

All indications for 2010 are that the Cartwright Sound will have

larger runs of Chinook salmon then we have experienced in the last

4 years. This is very exciting news!

Next summer we will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary for the opening of our new location.

We have officially named our new lodge Shingle Bay Lodge home of Queen Charlotte Safaris! For those

who have not visited us we invite you to do so, and for those that have we would like to welcome you back.

Our success is because of all of you, our family of friends, as well as our exceptional guides and lodge

staff. You are truly the foundation of our business!

Ray Lorenzo, our dearly beloved friend,passed away in a tragic accident November 17th,2008. Ray is survived by his wife, Marilyne

Lorenzo as well as his 2 children and 6

grandchildren. Ray loved his family, friends, fishing, goodwine and food and especially loved his Sea

Schnaucher Jackson. Ray was quick witted, had

an amazing sense of humor and a very generous

heart.. Ray was a large part of the success ofQueen Charlotte Safaris and will always be close

to our hearts. Ray Lorenzo, Friend, Family and Fishermen.
