    Land Act 1994OBJECTIONS TO PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURE

    NOTICE (No 16) 2019Short title

    1. This notice may be cited as the Objections to Proposed Road Closure Notice (No 16) 2019.Application for road closure [s.100 of the Act]

    2. Applications have been made for the permanent closure of the roads mentioned in the Schedule.Objections

    3.(1) An objection (in writing) to the proposed road closure mentioned in the Schedule may be lodged with the Regional Service Director, Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, at the regional office for the region in which the road is situated.

    (2) Latest day for lodgement of objections is 27 June 2019.(3) Any objections received may be viewed by other parties

    interested in the proposed road closure under the provisions of the Right to Information Act 2009. If you lodge an objection, please include in your objection letter whether you would like to be consulted if this issue becomes the subject of an access request under the Right to Information Act 2009.Plans

    4. Inspection of the plans of the proposed road closures may be made at-

    (a) the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy Offices at Atherton, Maryborough, Warwick and Innisfail; and

    NOTICE OF REPEAL FOR RESTRICTED AREAS 405, 406, 419, 420, 421, 422, 423, 424, 425, AND 428 UNDER THE MINERAL RESOURCES ACT 1989 AND THE GEOTHERMAL ENERGY ACT 2010

    I, The Hon. Dr Anthony Lynham, Minister for Natural Resources, Mines and Energy, declare that all restrictions related to restricted area numbers 405, 406, 419, 420, 421, 422, 423, 424, 425 and 428, which was made under the notification of restrictions on grant or

    applications for the grant of mining tenements under section 391 of the Mineral Resources Act 1989 and section 33 of the Geothermal Energy Act 2010 are repealed.

    Specifically, the areas contained within the boundaries of the blocks and sub-blocks listed in the Schedule below are repealed.

    Electricity Act 1994

    CODE REVISION NOTICE

    Pursuant to Section 120J of the Electricity Act 1994 (Qld),the Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) advises thatrevisions to the Electricity Distribution Network Code (the Code)were taken to have been approved by the Minister forNatural Resources, Mines and Energy under section 120I(5) ofthe Electricity Act 1994 (Qld).

    The amended Code (version 4) will come into effect on and from1 July 2020.

    NOTICE OF MINISTERIAL INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGNATIONMADE UNDER THE PLANNING ACT 2016

    I, the Honourable Cameron Dick MP, Minister for StateDevelopment, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning, givenotice that under section 38 of the Planning Act 2016, I made aMinisterial Infrastructure Designation (the infrastructuredesignation) for The Southport School on 9 May 2019.

    The infrastructure designation will take effect from 17 May 2019.

    Description of the designated premisesThe infrastructure designation applies to premises located at180 Ferry Road, Southport, QLD, 4215, otherwise described asLot 1 on RP189503.

    Type of infrastructure for which the premises were designatedI have designated the premises for the existing school and tofacilitate the construction of six new school buildings, constructionof staff accommodation residences, refurbishment of existingbuildings, relocation of a heritage building on the site, a newcarparking area and other works in accordance with the designation.The infrastructure is described under schedule 5, part 2 of thePlanning Regulation 2017, as:• Item 6: educational facilities• Item 9: facilities at which an education and care service

    under the Education and Care Services National Law(Queensland) is operated.

    Requirements included in the infrastructure designation The infrastructure designation includes requirements in relation tothe location and scale of works, lessening the impact of the works,construction management, stormwater, acoustics, flora and fauna,active transport, local heritage and servicing.

    Local Government Regulation 2012 (section 140)

    NOTICE OF INTENTION TO SELL LAND

    This notice is given by Gladstone Regional Council, and relates to properties described below.

    Background This notice is given because rates or charges levied by the Council on the below properties are at least 3 years overdue or default judgment has been granted by the Magistrates Court on vacant or commercial land. Where rates or charges on a property are more than 3 years overdue, or are more than 1 year and default judgment has been granted by the Magistrates Court on vacant or commercial land the Council may sell the property at public auction and use the proceeds to discharge the overdue rates or charges. The Council is required to issue a Notice of Intention to Sell Land to the property owner giving details of its decision and giving the owner a final opportunity to pay the overdue rates or charges. If the overdue rates or charges are not paid within 3 months of the notice, the Council will issue a Notice of Sale to the property owner and commence proceedings to sell the property. The sale proceedings will be discontinued if the amount of all overdue rates or charges levied on the land, and all expenses incurred by the Council for the intended sale, are paid to it. The Council has decided to apply this procedure to the properties described below. This document gives notice of the matters which Council is required to notify under the Local Government Regulation 2012 to give final opportunity to pay the overdue rates or charges and prevent sale of the land by Council.

    Formal Notice Council hereby notifies as follows: - (a) Gladstone Regional Council has decided, by resolution, to sell the land described above because an overdue rate or charge has remained unpaid.(b) This document is a notice of intention to sell land under section 140 of the Local Government Regulation 2012.(c) The date of the Council meeting at which the resolution to sell the land was made under section 140 of the Local Government Regulation 2012 was 19 February 2019 and the resolution was in the following terms:-“That Council sell the properties described, in accordance with the provisions of Section 140 of the Local Government Regulation 2012 for arrears of rates. The properties described are to be sold by way of auction for arrears of rates with an auction reserve and other terms of the process to be set by the Chief Executive Officer having regard to the requirements of the Local Government Act and associated regulations.(d) Details of all overdue rates or charges and interest accrued on the overdue rates for the land as described below as at 19 February 2019.
