CEO Welcome Welcome to our 2017 program of lifelong learning for Queensland students. At Queensland Museum we aim to collaborate and connect with our lifelong learning community through dynamic exhibitions and engaging public programs; to provide inspiring, enriching and empowering experiences for students and educators that connect with Queensland Museum collections, research and stories.

Museums are rich in natural and cultural wonders, and are unique places of learning for all ages. Housing the State collection gives the Queensland Museum Network the unique opportunity to provide teachers with access to inspirational objects that help to bring learning to life.

Queensland Museum is a committed partner with education and industry professionals, academic researchers and the learning community that provides a supportive and comprehensive array of learning resources and opportunities. These include onsite visits, facilitated and self-led experiences, online resources, events, the QM Loans service and the World Science Festival Brisbane.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics are constantly evolving and it’s vital to invest in and support lifelong learning to ensure we can continue to foster innovative future leaders in this field. Through our partnership with QGC, the development of the Future Makers program is enabling us to respond to this through the provision of new STEM resources and teacher professional development.

We’ve highlighted just some of the innovative offerings across the network, and I encourage you to access our online resources or contact our team to discover what is available for you and your students.

We hope that no matter where you are in Queensland, we can support you in your teaching and learning practice.

Please join with us as we explore the possibilities of lifelong learning for Queensland students.

Professor Suzanne Miller CEO and Director Queensland Museum Network
