2.1. Interconnection in VoIP
With a IPPBX QuesCom 400 can be interconnected in VoIP to an external gateway, gatekeeper orIPPBX. Thus, VoIP calls are routed from or towards the QuesCom gateway.
With a SIPprovider
QuesCom 400 can be interconnected in VoIP to an IP Telephony operator, forinstance, an ITSP or SIP Provider, providing IP Call Routing.
With an otherQuesComgateway
QuesCom 400 can be interconnected in VoIP to others QuesCom 400. In thisconfiguration, one QuesCom 400 is master and the others are slaves.
Master/Slave architecture can be used to:
Extend the number of GSM ports: GSM calls may need to be routed onto the otherappliance whilst all local GSM ports are busy.
Manage several equipments as a unique system.
Up to 5 devices can be grouped.

Easy, quickandtransparentinstallation
Easy, quick (wizard based) and transparent installation on the existing telephonysystem. No alteration, replacement, hardware or software update is required in theexisting infrastructure.
PBX-independent architecture: compatible with any ISDN PBX.
Fixed-line phones (other than PBX phones) are not limited.
Multi modal
installation
When the QuesCom appliance is connected only to the PBX, (by PRI or BRI lines) the
installation is named Dedicated. This architecture is generally used for large GSM deployments (i.e. more than 32
GSM ports).
The Pass-through architecture is when the QuesCom appliance is connectedbetween the PSTN and the PBX (by PRI or BRI lines). In case of QuesCom appliance failure, there is a bypass and calls continue to beplaced and received to the PBX.
Scalablearchitecture
Scalable architecture: Stand-Alone/Relay functioning:
ISDN port extension is possible. GSM port extension is also possible by adding one ormore QuesCom 400 appliance(s).
Antenna couplers 4 to 1 are available: unique antenna up to 16 GSM ports maximum.
Multi-site GSM resources pooling is possible.

4.5. Duplication of configuration
Duplicate withQset
On homogenous configuration, a duplication of configuration from oneappliance to another is possible if both hardware configurations are thesame.
Qset software (QuesCom property) allows:
Opening a .sfx file,
Modifying settings (IP addresses, network names and serial number) then
Saving the new settings into a renamed .sfx file which can be used inanother QuesCom gateway
Benefits This feature is useful when spare appliances updating is necessary.
Note that a brief service interruption is necessary.
