Question 2: How does your media product represent particular social groups?

My magazine represents Indie/Alternative Music and Young Everyday People.

Indie/Alternative musicians are represented like any average person through the useof photography. For Example, Years & Years are a new band feature in my magazine and in this pictureAre shown wearing very normal casual ordinary everyday clothes. Grey T-shirt, scuffed trainers and jeans. Seeing them in clothes similar to readers price range will make them feel more relatable.

Their body language is very relaxed. They are sitting on the floor in a normal everyday location. There is no special expensive equipment around them.

Young adults (16-18years) are represented as outgoing, talented, adventurous people. My choice of articles show they like to go out and are constantly looking for newEvents. I have included an upcoming events list which has lots of reviews from past events in myMagazine. This provides my readers exactly the kind of information they will need to find out About the events they like to go to. The Language I’ve used is very easy to read/informal.
