How did I address/attract mytarget audience?

Title – Using ‘LISTEN’ as my title attracted my target

audience because I have made it a bright coloured pink that is eye catching and draws you to look at my magazine as it is also bold and the

font is large.Model –

The image of my model reaches out from the page to grab your attention. When using

Photoshop I added effects to the picture to make it more eye catching for my audience.

Cover lines – My main cover line is the main story for my magazine. I have made this cover line in a

different font, size and colour because as it is the main cover story of my magazine, I wanted it to

the first cover line my audience read. Also, I have added my cover lines at the edges of pages

because from my inspiration of front covers from ‘WE HEART POP’ this is the layout they have

included.Colour Scheme – As my main target audience teenage females, I decided that a good way to attract my

audience would be to use stereotypical young female colours like pink and purple. I have also added the dark blue because I wanted my magazine to look well together and I thought that with my model wearing this colour it would be a good idea to added this colour to my

magazine.

Content – The content in my magazine is things that

when I was doing my research I found that in pop magazines for a similar target audience

they had content that was similar to the content I was hoping to put into my magazine.

Personal Message – Again from research and my reference

magazine, I found that most of them had a personal message was addressing and

engaging with the target audience. I decided to add this on my contents page to engage with

my target audience.

‘WE HEART THIS…’ – Instead of using ‘contents’ I wanted to use

something that would make my contents page stand out. I also think that it is a good way of

connecting with my target audience because as they are fans of pop they will enjoy the same

things that are included in my magazine.Quote –

I added a quote on my contents page under the page number for my main cover story. I did this because I think it will attract my audience to view and find out

about what she is being interviewed about and what her reason is to feel like that.

Available in iTunes icon - I have included this to engage and attract my

audience because if they are a fan of Bella’s new song they can download it on their Smartphone

device.

Cover Story – I have included ‘cover

story’ on my double page spread because I feel that

it would make my audience know that this is the important cover story

and it will make them want to read it.

Quote – Similar to my contents

page, I have used a quote because I think that this is a good way to draw in my audience because they are

now finally at the page where Bella is going to be

interview.
