Specify your start and end location, decide on a port terminal, ramp or even door delivery and select your desired equipment type. For standard equipment, rates are always offered for 20’, 40’ dry and 40’ high cubes, for reefer equipment we always offer 20’ and 40’ and there is no need to further specify any container type.

Routing Options

While you key in your start location into the respective field, a drop down menu will provide you with location proposals. To select the desired location simply click on the location proposal.

Use the same functionality to select the desired end location for your rate request and complete the routing.

Select the desired haulage type. Quick Quotes can offer port terminal, inland ramps or door delivery. Please note haulage type Ramp (inland CY / ICD) or Door might not be available on a global scale but the Quick Quotes application will guide you accordingly.

Finally, please select the desired equipment type. Quick Quotes offers rates for standard dry and reefer containers.

As a base service Quick Quotes offers FAK (freight all kind) rates for your requested routing, haulage and equipment type.

For select trades, Quick Quotes also offers rates for common commodities applicable in those trades.

If you would like to request FAK rates please click Request FAK. To check if for your desired routing offers commodity rates please click Check Commodities.

If you request FAK rates and commodity rates are available, Quick Quote will remind to check the commodity as well.

If you select FAK, Quick Quotes will provide with an FAK quote right away. In case commodity rates are available, Quick Quotes will give you an indication remind you to check the commodities as well.

Case need select a commodity and request a commodity quote by clicking Request Quotation. Please refer also to the chapter how to select a commodity rate.

To reset your selection and request a new quotation please click Clear.

If you select Check Commodity and commodities other than FAK are available, Quick Quotes will ask you to select the appropriate commodity and ‘…’ appears in the commodity list. Clicking the dropdown arrow will open a drop down menu listing all available commodities for your desired routing.

Please select the commodity that fits to your cargo and click Request Quotation.

If your commodity is not listed please select FAK and then click Request Quotation.

Please note that if you have requested a specific

commodity quotation this rate is only applicable to

this specific commodity and must not be used for

any shipment with any other commodity.

Once you have selected your routing, haulage, equipment type and commodity your quotation will be displayed for 20’, 40’ dry and 40’ high cube or 20’ and 40’ reefer containers depending on your equipment choice.

The quotation screen is divided into Freight Charges, Export

Surcharges, Freight Surcharges and Import Surcharges. All

applicable charges and currencies are listed.

The included charges as well as the subject to charges are

mentioned at the bottom of the offer.

The detail stripe on the right provides the quotation number, the

quotation and rate validity, the commodity, the routing and the

estimate transit time.

Definition, possible applicable Local Charges and the Detention &

Demurrage tariff can easily be accessed via a link.

Quotation Offer Details

By default, Quick Quotes offers a rate and quote validity of 30 days.

In case there is a rate change within these 30 days, Quick Quotes will generate two offers. You will see two tabs, named ‘Offer’ and ‘Subsequent Offer’. Each offer has a unique quotation number and both offers combined will cover 30 days.

Please note, that in some volatile markets the rate validity may not cover 30 days. Quotation and rate validity may vary and may not be the same.

Each issued quotation is kept and can be reviewed in the “My Quotations” section but can also be sent to your registered email address or any other address by using the Send (as email) function. You may also select various languages for the email version.

Use Schedule or Book to look up a sailing or place a booking respectively. Your quotation information is kept for easy reference.

In some rare cases a quotation may not be readily available. Now you will have the possibility to directly contact a sales representative via email to alternatively support your request.

All of your requested quotations are maintained in the “My Quotations” section. For a specific quote search please use the filters to specify the Start and / or End location, Quotation Number or “Valid at” date. Please click the ‘?’ to get online help on the related topic. Click the star to set “My Quotations” as your online business start page.

The basic information of your quotation like the Quotation number, Start (From) and End Location (To), the Commodity, the Container Type, the Lump Sum (Seafreight), the Issuer (last changed by), the rate Valid From and rate Valid To dates are included in the listing.

You may then select a quotation to download the PDF file to your computer or use the quotation to place a booking using the Hapag-Lloyd Web Booking.

Select a quotation and click Download to download the quotation PDF file to your computer.

Use the Book button to place a booking via our Web Booking or use the online schedule functionality via Schedule to search for sailings that fit to your transport schedule pattern.
