Background & ObjectivesAccretive Media Pvt. Ltd. has been an established media/production house with the aim of valid
development in the educational sector in our country with the motto of "Growing Together" and we
hope to accomplish this by taking talented students from across Nepal and nurturing their
knowledge through our quiz show. We took a broad sweep across many cities and schools within
the country to sieve the hidden talent lurking within this nation and with the previous year, we
expanded this to a South Asian level. This year, we are targeting around 700 schools within the
country well as 50 countries and their respective educational institutions in Asia. The show remains
a huge hit for the Nepali audience with around 5 million viewers on the popular channel Kantipur
Television as most tune in to see the shining jewel of the show, the presenter and the superstar
Rajesh Hamal. We are also in talks towards broadcasting through other popular channels in Nepal
as to increase the reach of this truly beneficial show further. We believe this will cement a culture
of learning and useful education within the participants as well as the viewers. Preparing for the
international competition, we have concluded our national auditions by the end of May and are
raring to go for this wonderful event ahead.
Eligibility for the CompetitionAny and all students currently engaged in higher secondary studies are eligible. Eligible students
wishing to apply will then take a short test and if successful, qualify for the Preliminary Round.
AwardsThe winners, first runner-ups and second runner-ups of the competition will be awarded the
respective cash prizes of 5000$, 3000$ and 1500$ in an awards ceremony where many dignitaries
from the entire Asian continent will attend.
Travel and ExpensesThe winning team from the auditions is required to travel to Nepal for the recording of the finals shows. The travel charge to-and-from Nepal is required to be covered for by the school the students hail from while lodging, dining and transportation charges within Nepal will be paid for by the organizers of the competition themselves.

Program Format (Nepalese Auditions& Finals)This series includes the five phases of the already concluded Nepalese levels:
1. Preliminary Levels: This phase was all about tracking down the hidden talent among
institutions all across Nepal. Our selection team conducted the selection campaign from the east
(Mechi) to the west (Mahakali) - including all five Development Regions of Nepal. The
students then faced intra-school competitions for getting into the next rounds. Certificates were
provided to the contestants.
2. Auditions: The winning teams from the Qualifying Phase (24 schools) then participated in
this round. The phases beginning from this were held and filmed inside a studio. In this phase,
three teams from selected schools participated in each episode.
3. Quarter Final: The winning teams from the Audition Level participated in this phase. Like
in the earlier phases, three teams participated in each episode to become the semi-finalists.
4. Semi Final: The semi-finalists then competed to be the finalists, three teams per episode.
5. Final: The last three finalist teams competed for grand prize where the winning team now has the honour of representing Nepal in the sixth season of Quiz Mania on the Asian Level.
Program Format (Asian Level Auditions & Finals)1. Asian Level Auditions: Students from the 50 countries will be participating in this level.
Regarding the auditions, one of our teams will go to different Asian countries for the selection.
We will also form a team of distinguished members of the Nepalese education scene and quiz
masters to select the contestants from different Asian countries via Skype. As far as the eligibility
of participants is concerned, quiz champions from only the high-school level will be able to
participate.
2. Asian Level Quarter Finals: The selected teams from the Audition Level (total 24 teams)
will be participating in this phase. Three teams will be participating in every episode.
3. Asian Level Semi Finals: The winning teams from the Quarter Final Level (total 9 teams)
will be participating in this phase. Three teams will be participating in every episode.
4. Asian Level Grand Finale /Award Distribution: The last three finalists will be competing for the Grand Finale where the winner will be decided. The final and concluding episode will be followed by the Award Distribution Ceremony.

Competition Details (The Finals)
The following rounds will be included in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the finals:
1. Trivia Round: Questions will be asked randomly from any category. Each question will have
four tricky options. Correct answer on the first attempt will yield 1000 marks and in case of
wrong answer, the team gets one more chance to answer from remaining options. Correct
answer on the second attempt will yield 500 marks. The allocated time to answer the question
will be 15 seconds. 5 seconds will be given for the second attempt. There is no negative
marking in this round. Altogether, six questions will be asked in this round.
2. Mixed Bag Round: This round will have six different categories where a team can choose
among any one. The questions will be asked based on the category chosen. There will be two
questions for each team. Each team cannot choose the same category for both questions. Each
question will have four options. Correct answer on the first attempt will yield 1000 marks and in
case of wrong answer, the team gets one more chance to answer from remaining options.
Correct answer on the second attempt will yield 500 marks. The allocated time to answer the
question will be 15 seconds. 5 seconds will be given for the second attempt.
3. Buzzer Round: The teams will have to press the buzzer to answer the given question. The team
pressing the buzzer before the other teams will get the chance to answer the question. The team
will get 1500 points if they answer correctly whereas 750 points will be deducted in case of a
wrong answer or no answer. Altogether, six questions will be asked in this round. The questions
in this round are not transferable to other teams. Each team will get 5 seconds to answer the
question after they hit the buzzer. In this round, the contestants will have to answer the question
based on a sound-clip, a video-clip or a picture.
4. Puzzle Blocks: In this round, the team needs to solve the given anagram and if they are able to
solve it, they will earn a bonus question based on the anagram. If the team cannot solve the
anagram they can pass and move onto another anagram. A maximum of three anagrams can be
asked to each team under 40 seconds. Solving the anagram yields 1000 points. This is a non-
transferrable round.

5. Rapid Fire Round: A maximum of 12 questions from various fields can be asked to each team
within a minute of time. Each question carries 500 points and at the same time, students will get
50 Rupees for each correct answer which will be donated to the differently abled students.
There is no negative marking. If unable to answer the question, the team has to pass the
question in order to move on to the next question.
6. Word for Word Round: In this round, a word will be given and each team will have to form
meaningful words by rearranging the letters of the given word. After the first team forms a
word, the second team will get a chance to form another word, then the third team will and will
again continue from the first team. Repeated words or meaningless words or inability to answer
within 5 seconds will automatically lead the team to disqualification and the team will be
awarded points corresponding to the number of answers given. The round will continue until the
leading team will fail to answer anymore. The points awarded for one forming one word is 200,
for two words is 400, for three words is 800, for four words is 1600 and so on. A total of three
words will be given in this round, and each team will get the chance to answer the first word.
7. Charades Round: Each team will be given a set of six images. One team member will be shown the images and will have to give clues to the second team member and the second member will have to guess the word. Any number of attempts at answering the question is allowed. The total time limit is 1 minute. A score of 1000 will be awarded for each correct answer and there will be no negative marking.
8. Asian Round: Each team will be allowed to choose two countries among the participant Asian
countries and a question related to the chosen countries will be asked. This is a transferable
round. Answer to the direct question will yield 1500 points and answer to the passed question
will yield 500 points. 15 seconds and 5 seconds will be provided to answer the direct question
and passed question respectively. A country cannot be chosen twice by any team. The team will
not be allowed to choose the country they are from or any of its bordering countries.
9. Cultural Round: The participating teams in the episode will present a performance reflecting
their national culture. This round is a non-scoring round.
*The rules of the contest are based on the program's format in order to maintain absolute fairness and avoid any complaints, disputes and/or
loopholes, detailing of the rules is in progress. The quiz rounds are subjected to change during the course of time in the case of unforeseen
occurrences. English will be the primary language throughout the quiz.

Targeted Audience/Viewership
We are expecting direct participation of more than 200,000 students from different
colleges/institutions - who are the direct stakeholders of this program, from around the nation. In
aggregate, we are expecting more than 3,000,000 viewers from across the country, not to mention
millions of viewers from the entire Asian continent.
Primary target group: The students across the whole nation as well as across the
participating Asian countries are the primary targets of this program. We are expecting the
involvement from scholars that can have direct participating opportunity. Moreover, this program
might be of help for all the students as a source of gaining knowledge in various ways.
Secondary target group: Following the experiences from other previous seasons, we have come to
know that this program is not only popular among students, but also among the general public. This
program is regarded as a good source of gaining knowledge, and as a family entertainment show.
With this in mind, we are focusing on making the program even more effective.
