General Notes• Read through the fi tting instructions before installation of the accessory. Install the accessory following the fi tting instructions.

Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or the accessory.

• Ensure all recyclable discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling regulations.

• It is always recommended that this accessory is fi tted by a qualifi ed Hyundai Technician.

• Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.

• Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using automotive bare metal primer and touch-up paint, or suitable automotive rust inhibitor.

• Remove all metal swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surface is used for accessory installation.

Safety Notes • Check that all work practices comply with safety standards.

• Please wear appropriate clothing and use safety equipment.

Step 1

• With a clean cloth, wipe down the roof of the vehicle and ensure it is free of dirt and grit.

• Clean Cloth

Step 2

• Remove the M8 bolt from the leg assembly.

• Clip the leg base assembly onto the leg of the crossbar as shown.

• The arrow on the base assembly must face out and away from the centre of the vehicle.

Step 3

• Insert the rubber strip into the crossbars. Cut to length as required.

Tools Used

• Blade

Step 4

• Open the doors, place the crossbar assemblies onto the roof. Be sure to have the front and rear bars in the correct location (marked with a sticker as per step 2).

• Measure forward from where the front and rear doors meet, 225mm. Place the front crossbar centre point here.

• Measure back from arrow on front footplate, 700mm. Place the rear crossbar centre point here.

• Insert the M8 security bolt through the front of the clamp, as shown below.

• Screw the M8 security bolt, fi nger tight, into the pivot nut.

Do not overtighten. The clamp should only begin to grip

the vehicle.

Crossbars will come with hardware assembled, however if the Pivot Nut is not attached to the leg, install as shown with the angled face of the nut facing outwards (as below).

Step 5

• Ensure the clamp sits snug with the body of the vehicle, making full contact along its face as shown.

• Ensure the crossbars sit evenly over the roof of the vehicle.

Step 6

• With the crossbars in place, tighten the M8 bolt.

Note: Bolts must be tensioned evenly each side of the vehicle to avoid pulling the rack to one side. Tighten 4-5Nm.

Step 7

• Insert the two lugs on the left side of the cover plate into the leg.

• Use the key provided to lock the cover plate in place.

Tools Used• Torque Allen Key

The Allen Key will give an indication of the correct torque required. The plastic tab on the end of the key will straighten under the approximate tension needed. Additional clockwise turns may be required.

Step 8

• Ensure all fi xtures are secure before use.

Please place the Installation Manual and Metal Keys

in the glove box after installation is complete.
