  • AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR A COMPREHENSIVE AND CONTINUING URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING PROGRAM, ESTABLISH THE MECHANISM FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

  • In coordination with PCUP, shall afford thebeneficiaries or their duly representative an opportunity to be heard and to participate in the decision making process over matters involving the protection and promotion of their legitimate collective interest (Sec. 23)

    Implementation of the relocation and resettlement of persons living in danger areas such as esteros, railroad tracks, garbage, dumps, riverbanks, shorelines, waterways and public places (Sec. 29)

    Prevent the construction of any kind of illegal dwelling units or structure within theirrespective localities (Sec. 30)

  • Disposition of their idle lands suitable for socializedhousing under the CMPAssist the NHMFC/SHFC and PCUP to organize beneficiaries of CMP (Sec. 33)Promotion of the production and the use of indigenous, alternative and low-cost construction materials and technologies for socialize housing (Sec. 34)Device a set of mechanism including incentive to the private sector so that viable transport systemis develop in the urban area (Sec. 35)

  • Formulate standards designed to attain the following objectives: smooth flow of traffic safety and convenience of travel, minimum use of land space, minimum damage to physical environment, adequate and efficient transport services (Sec. 35)

    To monitor trends in the movement of populationfrom rural to urban, urban to urban, urbanto rural areas.

    Submit a detailed annual report with respectto the implementation of UDHA (Sec. 41)
