THE W. H. KITSON ROOM
The Kitson Room has been named in honour of Mr. W. H. Kitson whom declared open The Raffles Hotel in 1937.
The Kitson Room provides the ideal guest experience within a setting of privacy and comfort. Overlooking Perth’s majestic Swan River from the first floor, guests can enjoy
personal wait staff and private bathroom facilities offered alongside this intimate room.
The Kitson Room accommodates up to 60 people for informal cocktail style events, or can be tailored for intimate private dining experiences of up to 22 people.
The space is also available for corporate events.

THE RAFFLES HWY BAR
With superb sweeping panoramic views of the Swan River, Hwy Bar is a light and spacious area located on the first floor. A private balcony overlooks the
downstairs alfresco area offering guests a unique experience.
The Hwy Bar provides our largest space for informal cocktail style events, accommodating up to 200 people. Guests will enjoy a dedicated bar,
personal wait staff and private bathroom facilities.

a quote through a preferred supplier.

PARKING / ACCESS
In addition to street parking there are two convenient car parking options listed below:
• City of Melville public parking Canning Beach Road (directly opposite The Raffles Hotel)
• City of Melville public parking Raffles Waterfront (beneath The Raffles Hotel, entry from Canning
Beach Road)
Both options are ticketed and offer 24 hour parking
Travelling by public transport The Raffles Hotel is only a 3 minute walk from Canning Bridge Station (Mandurah
Line).
DECORATIONS
If you are considering decorations for your event please consult the events team to ensure these will
be permitted in the venue.
Please note that confetti or table scatters of any form are not permitted.
ENQUIRIES

TENTATIVE BOOKINGS
Tentative bookings will be held for a period of 5 days only. The tentative bookings will be released if a signed copy of the terms and conditions along with the deposit
has not been received. If your enquiry falls within 5 days lead up, then the booking form, terms & conditions and the deposit will be required on the day of the booking.
CONFIRMATION
Tentative bookings will only be confirmed on receipt of a signed copy of the terms & conditions and deposit. A confirmation email with receipts will be sent to the
person who booked the function as proof of confirmation.
DEPOSIT
A $150 deposit is required to confirm a booking, unless otherwise stated by The Raffles Hotel.
Exclusive hire functions require a 10% deposit based on the minimum spend for the area.
MINIMUM SPENDS
Event bookings may require a minimum spend based on the event requirements and when stipulated,
events must adhere to the minimum spend required. Organisers are liable for the difference in the event
of the minimum spend not being met.

CONFIRMATION OF ATTENDANCE*
You are required to advise your final numbers of guests five (5) business days prior to your event. Payment will be based on final numbers provided five (5) business days prior to your event or attendee numbers on the
day, whichever is greater.
GUEST LISTS
On confirmation of final numbers, a guest list is required for all events to ensure and guarantee entry to The Raffles Hotel. Please email the list to your event manager five (5)
business days prior to your event.
CATERING REQUIREMENTS
A catering package from within the current event kit must be selected when holding an event at
The Raffles Hotel. All guests must be catered for.
Set menus consist of an allocated number of options. A surcharge will apply if extra choices are required.
Menu and beverage selections are required seven (7) business days prior to your event. If selections are not
advised at this point, your selection cannot be guaranteed to be available.
Raffles reserves the right to substitute menu items of a similar quality without notice, due to, but not limited to,
supplier shortages and seasonal change. Raffles reserves the right to substitute selected beverages with beverages
of equal value if, without notice, the preferred selection is not available from the supplier.
All dietary requirements will be catered for individually by The Raffles Hotel chef’s. Special dietary requirements
must be communicated to The Raffles Hotel seven (7) working days prior to the event.
Special catering requests including cakes/cupcakes can be catered for, however a minimum of five (3) working
days notice period prior to the function date is required. The client will need to sign an order form to confirm the
special catering arrangements made with The Raffles Hotel. If you choose to bring your own cake, there is no charge unless you require it professionally cut by the kitchen. This
will incur a charge of $2.50 per person.

RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
The Raffles Hotel complies with Western Australian responsible service of alcohol legislation. All staff are trained in the liquor licensing accredited ‘RSA’ (responsible service of alcohol) and they may refuse to serve alcohol to any person who they deem to be
intoxicated. Any intoxicated person is unable to remain in the venue and must be removed.
In accordance with liquor licensing laws of Western Australia, minors are only permitted on the premises in
the direct company of their parent or legal guardian and may be asked to leave at the discretion of management.
At no time is a minor permitted to consume alcohol on the premises.
AV FACILITIES AND ENTERTAINMENT
It is the organisers responsibility to ensure that any external AV equipment or devices such as iPod’s,
DVD’s laptops etc. are compatible with Raffles in-house equipment. You may test any of this equipment at a
mutally convenient time prior to the function. Approval by management is required should the organiser wish to hire a band, DJ or any other form of entertainment and noise
restrictions apply.
To ensure the comfort of all patrons, additional AV equipment and individual music selections cannot be accommodated for functions in the Raffles bar and
Alfresco areas (ground floor).
SET UP AND DELIVERY
External AV and production companies are required to make contact with The Raffles Hotel event staff seven (7) working days prior to the event. The client should ensure
event staff are advised of all goods/packages to be delivered and that they are adequately marked with the
contact name, date of the event and contact number.
All equipment must be removed at the conclusion of the event unless previously arranged with the Raffles
event staff.
DAMAGES AND CLEANING
Organisers are financially responsible for any damage to the building, furniture, fixtures and fittings or property
during and immediately following the function. This includes any costs for repair or replacement at current market price. The organisers of the function are also
responsible for damage caused by their guests, outside contractors or agents prior to, during and after the event.
PAYMENT
Payment in full must be made by cash or credit card either at the conclusion of the event or prior to the event taking place. Any payments made by bank cheque must
be approved by The Raffles Hotel management and settled prior to event date.
If the function booker is not going to be present for the full duration of the function then they are required to
inform The Raffles Hotel event staff prior to the function. The client is required to arrange and advise of the
person’s full name who will be settling the final payment.
All prices are inclusive of GST.
Total catering charges will be based on final confirmed attendance*, unless a minimum spend applies. In the
event there is increased attendence food and beverage packages will be charged on a per head basis.

PRICE VARIATIONS
Every endeavour is made to maintain our prices as originally quoted to you, however they are subject to
change. Should any increases occur, we will notify you immediately.
CONTENT OF EVENT
If The Raffles Hotel has reason to believe that any event/function will affect the smooth running of the venue, its
security or reputation, management reserves the right to cancel the event at its discretion without notice or liability.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
The Raffles Hotel will not be held responsible for the loss of, or damage to, property left on premise prior to, during or after an event.
The client is required to inform all relevant persons involved in the organisation of the event, including colleagues or contractors of Raffles terms and conditions outlined herein.
By signing this acceptance form, I understand and accept the above listed terms and conditions including all deposit and cancellation policies.
