Songs sung by the students set the tone for the celebrations

Gandhi Jayanthi and Diwali.

Students, Teachers presented speeches, skits and power point

presentations to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi and Diwali.

Students were learned about Gandhiji’s Khadi Movement and why

he wore dhoti and the need for all of us to promote Khadi and

cotton.

The celebrations continued with children giving speeches on the

importance of Diwali, songs and placards presentation on Do’s

and Don’t to be observed during Diwali. Students enjoyed a film

on Ramayana and why Diwali is celebrated. Students also saw a

film on Sivakasi and the condition of the children who make fire

crackers. They were shocked and moved to make this Diwali a

safe and a green Eco-Friendly Festival.
