DESCRIPTION
Ralf Averbeck, 3 Quarkonia l 20 years ago: Matsui & Satz color screening in deconfined matter → J/ suppression = “smoking gun” l experimental & theoretical progress since then → story is much more complicated l cold nuclear matter / initial state effects –“normal” absorption in cold matter –(anti)shadowing –saturation, color glass condensate l suppression via comovers feed down from c, ’ sequential screening (first: c, ’, J/ only well above T c ) l regeneration via statistical hadronization or charm coalescence –relevant for “large” charm yield, i.e. RHIC and LHC
