Rallis has ~45 products in itsportfolio. The company launchesalmost 2-3 new products every y ear,maintaining the sales contribution ofthe new product in total sales to ~30%on Y oY basis. During FY 10, companyhas launched two new productsnamed Balwan and Ergon. Rallis isexpected to launch two new productsduring FY 11. It has entered into strategic long termalliances with research based MNCagrochemical companies andJapanese companies like FMC, NihonNohy aku and companies such asDuPont, Sy ngenta, MakhteshimChemical Works and Bay er, BoraxInternational for bringing in newmolecules and new formulationtechnologies for commercialization inIndia. Plant locations:Existing locations: The company has 6units producing agrochemicals inMaharashtra and Gujarat region.Proposed Locations:

Jammu: New formulation unitproposed Dahej: Multipurpose technicalplant to be setup (is expected tobe commissioned by July 2010, cost of the project is Rs 150 Crs).Management has guided that theDahej plant has a revenuepotential of Rs 500 Crs over threey ears and a pay back period of~6y ears. Rallis will enjoy taxexemption for five y ears in theDahej plant which will support thecompany to grow into the exportmarket (Asian and Europeanmarket targeted).
