BASKETS FULL OF THANKS
Year after year, the Ramadhan Relief Fund continues to be in the forefront of global efforts to alleviate the many hardships so many families face by providing them with key sources of support to make the month ofRamadhan a little easier. Whether it is a widow in India who receives a basket of food rations to feed her children for a whole month, or adisabled person in Kenya who is provided with a cash gift to pay for his basic needs, The World Federation believes that everyone has the right to food, shelter and a life with dignity. Whilst we cannot solve all of the world’s problems, we can do our part to make the world a better place, one smile at a time.
This report provides an illustrative overview of The World Federation’s Ramadhan Relief Program for the year 2015 (1436 AH) with testimonials from the ground. This year, thanks to the unwavering support of our donor community and the many volunteer fundraisers from around the world who joined our cause, we raised and distributed just over USD $1.36 million (GBP £850,000) in aid across 14 countries.
On behalf of every beneficiary of the Ramadhan Relief Fund, we offer our heartfelt gratitude to each one of our donors, fundraisers, partners and volunteers for their caring and compassionate contribution which was remembered in the prayer of each recipient this Ramadhan.
Jazaakallaahu khairaa - may the Almighty return your kindness.

Would she qualify to receive a parcel?’ After inquiring we found out that this person who sent us the message was a 9 year old boy and the lady was his mother. india
When distributing food rations this year, we faced a lot of challenges in reaching the far and remote areas of Bihar, India. Whilst our volunteers travelled many miles while fasting in the scorching heat to deliver food to families, heavy rains made our work that much more difficult. By the Grace of God, we were able to complete our work.India agent

iraq We distributed 2,000 clothing items to orphans across Iraq. One of the orphans we spoke to told us: ‘it is not the cost of the gift that touches us, it’s the message we get from the donor that shows us that somebody out there is thinking about us and cares for us.Volunteer in Iraq

The food rations really help. Without them I would have to wake up early in the morning and work on the farm to earn enough money to buy iftaar for the day. Sometimes when there is no work, we have no iftaar. These food baskets make it easier for me to prepare iftaar and will last me for the next 30 days.Recipient in Kenya
