o Take students on a Living/Non-Living “scavenger hunt.” Students can draw or take pictures of the things that they see. Students can record their observations in their journals.

Comparing/Contrasting Animals:o Put students into teams of four. Give each group a set of pictures with two

different animals of the same type (example: tiger and domestic cat) and have students make bulleted lists of the ways they are the same and different.
