What a fabulous first week back for Term 3. We started with a very busy week setting goals for the term, lots of soccer and netball practise in the playground and enjoying our Community Christmas in July lunch. The staff and students catered for 85 guests at the hall. The meal was beautifully prepared by the Year 5/6 students, the hall was set and decorated by the Year 4 students, and our guests were entertained by the K/1/2 students. Thank you to all of the family and community members that attend, we hope you enjoyed it. We finished the week with Round Robin on Friday. There were approximately 200 students in attendance and it was a wonderful day at the Sport & Rec Grounds. Our students displayed a high level of sportsmanship and we are so incredibly proud of their achievement of winning the Round Robin for 2019. Special thanks to Julieanne and her valued team of helpers for running the canteen. Thank you also to the parents that were able to help with setting up and packing up to make the day run with ease.
Miss Payne and Mrs Munro met with the NSW Department of Education’s External Validation panel on Tuesday to complete our schools External Validation process for this year. The panel provided wonderful feedback and high praise to our staff for their hard work completing this process.

Rankins Springs Public School All parents/carers/family and friends are invited to Rankin’s Springs Public School during Education Week. This is a time to interact in your child’s classroom and see what happens at our school.
Students take great pride in their learning and would love to be able to show their family what activities they do each day in the classroom.
We welcome visitors in the times listed above. The sessions will be before and after the student’s lunch break, so feel free to bring along your lunch to have with the students.
Indigenous Games On Tuesday 30th July students will be participating in Indigenous Games run by Mr Mathew Daniels, our local Aboriginal Communities Liaison Officer.
Traditional Aboriginal Games were almost lost after colonisation. It has taken a lot of consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders to re-establish the traditional games and their rules. We are looking forward to developing a greater understanding and appreciation of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through experiencing these games.
Please keep checking the calendar of ‘what’s happening’ as we have a huge term ahead with lots of exciting and varied experiences for the children to engage in.
