TransfersTransfers are available from the Bus Operator for .50¢. Transfer vouchers are only valid at connecting transfer points and are not valid between JeT and RTA bus lines (Orleans Parish).

VIP Monthly Passes - $60.00Good for unlimited rides during a calendar month and is accepted on all JeT bus lines. The VIP Monthly Pass can be purchased at both transit office locations and the Wilty Terminal Information Booth (see page 1). Payment Options – Cash Only

Half-Fare Discount

BIKES ON BUSESAll JeT buses have bike racks that hold up to two single-seat, two-wheeled, non-motorized bicycles. Regular fares apply for each passen

Using the rack is easy. As the bus approaches, have your bike ready to load. Never approach the bus from the street. Stay on the curb. Remove any items that could fall off, like a water bottle or pannier. Tell the bus op

-erator that you are loading a bike. Squeeze the handle and pull down to release the folded bike rack. Place your bike in the trough furthest from the bus with the front tire facing the clamping arm, toward the street. If the outside trough is full, load your bike into the trough closest to the bus. In this position, the front tire will face the curb. Raise the clamping arm as far up on the wheel as you can. Before unloading, make sure to let the operator know you’ll be removing your bike. Lift up the clamping arm and remove your bike, folding up the rack if it’s empty.

HOLIDAY SERVICEThe Saturday schedule is operated on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Good Friday, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. A separate schedule will be announced and used during the carnival season (week preceding Mardi Gras day). Routes without Saturday service do not operate on holidays.

BICICLETAS EN LOS BUSESEncontrará portabicicletas in todos los autobuses de JeT. Caben dos bicicle-tas individuales de dos ruedas y sin motor. Cada ciclista coloca su bicicleta independientement de la tora. El pasajero paga la tarifa regular pero la bicicleta viaja GRATIS!

El uso del portabicicleta es fácil. Mientras se acerca el autobús, tenga su bi-cicleta lista para cargar. Nunca se acerque al autobús desde la calle. Mantén-gase en la acera. Retire cualquier objeto que pueda caer de su bici, como una botella de agua o maleta. Dígale al operador del autobús que va a cargar una bicicleta. Apriete la manija y baja el portabicicletas. Coloque su bicicleta en un espacio vacío. Eleve el brazo de sujeción hacia arriba y por encima de la llanta delantera. Antes de descargar, asegúrese de que el operador sabe que va a sacar su bicicleta. Levante el brazo de sujeción y saque su bicicleta, subiendo el portabicicletas si está vacío.

ITINERARIO EN DÍAS FERIADOEl horario de los sábados se usa en los siguientes días de fiesta: Año Nuevo, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Viernes Santo, 4 de Julio, Labor Day, Acción de Gracia y Navidad. Un horario distinto se anunciará y usará durante la temporada de carnaval (la semana que precede a Mardi Gras). Las rutas que no tienen servicioen los sabados, no operan on dias feriado.

NOTAS

Indica que el bus va/viene al garage. Cuando aparece frente a la hora, ex: 6.09 un nuevo bus viene a la ruta. Cuando está después de la hora, ex.:10:53 el bus deja la ruta.

A half-fare discount is available to riders aged 65 years and older. The base half fare is 75¢. The half fare to cross the river is $1.00. Transfers are available from the bus operators for 25¢. To receive half-fare discount, simply present a government-issued picture ID (ex: State ID, Driver’s License, or passport) to the bus operator upon boarding. This change is effective as of October 1, 2017, at which point JeT will no longer issue Half-Fare Cards. Previously-issued JeT Half-Fare Cards are still accepted.

Day Pass - $4.00Good for unlimited rides within the JeT system and valid for 1 calendar day beginning the day which the card is stamped and activated. The Day Pass can be purchased ONLY onboard the busses by requestfrom the operator.

Pase diario - $4.00Es bueno para viajes ilimitados dentro del sistema JeT y es válido por 1 día calendario a partir del día en que la tarjeta está sellada y activada. El pase de un día se puede comprar SOLO a bordo de los autobuses por solicitud del operador.

Route: The Veterans route runs from Williams Blvd. and 25th Street in Kenner, along Veterans Boulevard and the Pontchartrain Expressway, to the intersection of City Park Avenue and Canal Blvd. in New Orleans. Outbound patrons in New Orleans traveling to Jefferson Parish can board upon flagging at any regular “Tulane” bus stop on Tulane Avenue.

The Mobility Impaired Transportation System (MITS) is part of Jefferson Transit. MITS is a shared ride service that provides transportation for per-sons with disabilities who are unable to use fixed route Jefferson Transit service. MITS provides demand response curb-to-curb next day and up to 7 days in advance service and meets the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Who is Eligible to Ride MITS?An individual is eligible if he or she has a permanent, temporary, or inter-mittent disability and if the fixed route bus system cannot provide service to a particular individual for a particular trip.How Do I Apply to Ride MITS?For an application, please contact the MITS Office.

How Much Does it Cost to Ride MITS?A MITS rider pays $3.00 for each one-way trip. By law, the fare for MITS cannot exceed two times the regular fare for fixed route buses. There is no charge for a personal care attendant traveling with a MITS rider. Guests are charged the same fare as certified MITS riders. Coupon books are available in the MITS Office.What Area Does MITS Serve?MITS serves urbanized Jefferson Parish and a limited area of Orleans Parish. This area includes the Eastbank, all developed areas north of the Hero Cutoff on the Westbank, and the Lafitte area. Areas served in Orleans Parish include Delgado Community College, the New Orleans Central Business District and the Medical Center/Tulane medical complex.MITS riders can transfer to RTA’s paratransit service, known as the LIFT, at the Eastbank or Westbank transfer points: (1) Delgado Community Col-lege - Eastbank; (2) Gretna Terminal - Westbank.

Route: The Westbank Expressway route provides service to and from both Westbank Terminals: Walkertown and Wilty. It connects with all Westbank routes and provides service to the New Orleans CBD. The W2 route also provides service between Walkertown Terminal and Lafitte-Larose Highway, traveling along Ames Blvd. to Lafitte Larose Highway and returning on Barataria and August.

Route: The Lapalco route runs along Lapalco Boulevard, from Victory Drive to Manhattan Boulevard, then north on Manhattan to the Westbank Express-way, where it continues to the Wilty Terminal. It also provides service to downtown New Orleans.

Did you know there are 2 bus terminals on the Westbank? The Wilty and Walkertown Terminals serve Westbank bus routes. The Wilty Terminal is located under the Westbank Expressway at Van Trump. The Walkertown Terminal is located under the Westbank Expressway between Barataria Boulevard and Ames Boulevard. Both terminals provide sheltered waiting areas for passengers transferring between bus lines. Amenities include security, telephones, security lighting, and scheduling information. The terminals are fully accessible to persons with disabilities.

Route: The Huey P. Long route provides a connection between the Jefferson Transit eastbank and westbank routes. The route stops at the Yenni building on the Eastbank and the Walkertown Terminal on the Westbank.

W-SL Westbank Sunday Loop

Effective Date: November 13, 2011

Route: The Sunday Loop Route pro-vides service between both Westbank terminals, Wilty and Walkertown, and the New Orleans CBD as well as areas south of the Westbank Expressway. The Sunday Loop travels from the New Orleans CBD to the Wilty Terminal, and along Westbank Expressway to the Walkertown Terminal. It then travels down Ames Blvd., to Lapalco Blvd and west to Lapalco Blvd and Victory. At Lapalco and Victory it turns around to travel the rest of the Lapalco route back to the New Orleans CBD.
