Rapid ramp-up capability

When a disaster hits, this core team will be already working within your operations and would be ready to manage claim spikes or be flexible to undertake a dedicated BAU project. Each dedicated staff member is capable of leading a team, giving them the capability to ramp up a large event response or project team. GB has a structured, disciplined and proven recruitment strategy to enable rapid ramp-up for these unexpected circumstances.

A team skilled in leadership and management

This permanent core team would be resourced with highly-skilled claim staff with catastrophe claims experience. Each of these team members would be capable of managing up to eight staff members, should a significant event arise.

Complementing your business continuity and disaster recovery capability

As the GB team can focus on BAU customer requirements, the impact of significant weather effects on your operations is minimised. Our disaster recovery plan has been often tested, most recently with the Christchurch earthquakes and the Brisbane floods.

Event Response experience

GB has a combined 50 years of expertise managing the largest catastrophic claims events in the Southern Hemisphere, from hail, to earthquakes, to cyclones. Over the past few years, GB have been able to successfully recruit high numbers of quality staff for a number of significant events in our company’s history.

• Post-event sites operational within 6 days• Oldest aged activity reduced by 42 days within 10 days• Claims cycle time reduced from 77 days to 32 days.

Rapid Deployment planning requires a structured Implementation discipline across Client required areas, IT, recruitment, Training and Process. GB’s planning and deliverables in short timeframes is proven and tested.

How it worksPre Event Planning

GB will create a scenario-focused Implementation Plan to develop a dedicated claims team. This team will be trained in the Client’s PDS, processes and stakeholder requirements and led by a Manager and agreed number of senior claims managers. These staff would be entirely dedicated to your business and will support your business-as-usual claims on a day-to-day basis.

The GB response team think outside the square and the interaction from an IT and Training perspective was simple and seamless. GB displayed flexibility in a very demanding situation.
