Pronunciator

Raritan Public Library is pleased to announce that it now offers the

Pronunciator online language-learning system free to our library

patrons With 75 of the worlds most popular languages and ESL courses in 50

languages Pronunciator is focused on quickly building conversational skills

through a suite of interactive online drills scored quizzes and downloadable

audio lessons and phrasebooks Pronunciator offers five possible levels of

instruction for each language covering everyday situations traveling and

conversation Stop by the Library for an introduction to Pronunciator or you

can access the program by clicking on the link on our website Pronunciator

will soon be available on iPad Android tablet iPod and iPhone

basics of computers writing a resume filling out an online application or setting up their e-reader for e-books Scheduling is

flexible the service is free and you can come back for as many classes as you need The Raritan Public Library knows technology keeps

evolving and it can be hard for some people to keep up or even get started with how advanced things have become We will help you

learn how to attach photos to emails explain to you the basics of MS Word help you write a good resume and more Brendan is patient and willing to walk you through this step by step at your own pace

Thursday August 1st from 630-730pm

Join storyteller Dave Del Rocco as he shares folktales and stories

from around the world including Laos the Philippines Africa Italy

and his home state of Hawaii These tales appropriate for all ages

and especially children ages 6-12 are mostly funny and explain how

different cultures view aspects of their world Mr Del Rocco grew

up in Raritan NJ but has lived in Hawaii for the past 32 years With

his experiences as a Hawaiian cultural teacher

as a student of the Hawaiian language and as

a reference librarian Dave is adept at telling

Island legends Sign up for a fascinating hour of

stories and lore Registration is required

Come be transported to some of the most exotic and isolated undersea locations on Earth including Southern

Australia New Guinea and others in the Indo-Pacific region Marvel at brilliant underwater sea animals

(schooling fish and a leafy sea dragon) Itrsquos the closest you can come to diving without getting wet Narrated by Jim

Carrey Running time 41 minutes Snacks and drinks will be provided Registration is required
