CIRCULAR

Rate Contract for Chemicals & Glassware for 2015-16

Sub: Purchase of Chemicals & Glassware - Under Rate Contract for the year 2015-16 - Reg.

Based on the recommendation of the Rate Contract Finalization Committee, the Annual RateContract for the Chemicals & Glassware for the year 2015-16 has been approved by the ViceChancellor.

The list of selected firms is enclosed herewith in Annexure - I. The discounts are applicableas per the catalogues which will be published by these firms for the financial year 2015-16. The listedprice of chemicals & glassware given in the catalogue/CD by the firms under rate contract is validfor the financial year April-2015 to March 2016 and extendable for next financial year (2016-17), ifrequired, subject to satisfactory performance of the supplier.

The Departmental Purchase Committee Members and HOD llc IPI may kindly take adequatecare to ensure the correctness of the rate charged, as they may have to provide any clarification calledfor by Audit, at a later stage.

All the proposals for purchase of Chemicals & Glassware are to be submitted to thePurchase Section / Project Cell after due certification by the Head of the Department / PrincipalInvestigator for correctness of rates calculated.

The Head (I/c) and Principal Investigators Projects are only authorized to issue the purchaseorder upto a limit of Rs.l lakh only, on each occasion, with the recommendation of the DepartmentalPurchase Committee after the proposal being concurred by Finance and approved by the CompetentAuthority.

The items purchased will be entered in the stock register of the respective departments (therewill be no requirement for Central Stock Registration in the Purchase & Stores section). Taxes willbe applicable as per the prevailing Government norms for Chemicals & Glassware.
