NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

Report on AIDS Awareness Programme

National Service Scheme unit has organized a lecture of Dr. K. B. Jadhav (Civil Hospital,

Ahmednagar) on AIDS awareness on 16th

August 2014. Through his lecture, he has given the

detailed information and viciousness of AIDS. He and his colleagues offered pledge to the

participants and guided the volunteers.

Total 15 teachers and 150 students actively involved in the activity.

Voter Awareness Programme

NSS Unit of College organized the voter awareness Programme with collaboration with

Sakal news paper and District Election Branch on 25th

October, 2014 In that rally Principal Dr

.B. K. Karale inculcates the importance of voting and the oath was taken by the NSS Volunteers

and the students.

The speaker of the program Dr.Anil Kawade talked about how Voting is very important in

a democracy. One of the responsibilities of a citizen is to take part in the democracy. By voting in

elections, citizens should become familiar with what each candidate supports. By becoming an informed

citizen, a person will become familiar with the key issues facing the voters and with what each

candidate’s position is on each issue. This will help the voters make informed choices when they vote.

To carry out this programme smoothly Principal Dr. B.K.Karale, vice Principal Dr. B.K.

Auti and all the NSS Committee members took special efforts.

NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME SPECIAL WINTER CAMP REPORT

2014-2015

National Service Scheme Special seven days residential winter camp

2014 was organized from 21st to 27th December, 2014 at Khandala Tal-Nagar,

Dist-Ahmednagar. Total 100 volunteers, 6 teachers and 2 non-teaching staff

was actively involved in the activity.

The following programmes were organized during Special Winter

Camp

Volunteers worked for the cleanliness of village, road repairing, Gram

Swachhata Abhiyan which could cost around Rs. 70,000/-.

Around 150 volunteers checked hemoglobin and 40 donated blood on

26th December, 2014.

Social awareness programmes are organized in the camp period as per camp

daily schedule. Daily exercise, yoga, daily work, value education, self-

discipline, health awareness, cleanliness, save girl child campaign, awareness

about laws, street plays, personality development, national integration and

road safety campaign were daily activities. These programmes were arranged

to give exposure to various skills of volunteers.

Volunteers organized trees plantation programme at the camp.

All the activities were fulfilled by the volunteers during their camp

duration. The valedictory function was organized in the presence of

Panchayat Samiti member Mr. Sandesh Karle and Mrs. Shalini Bansode,

Sarpanch of the village.

The constant inspiration and support by Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale has

motivated us to do the activity. The contribution of NSS coordinator Dr.

S. P. Nagarkar, Mr. S. B. Gaikwad and non- teaching staff have made

this camp successful.

Hagandarimukt Gaon Rally

National Service Scheme unit of the Radhabai Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar

organized rally, on 23rd Dec., 2014., on the subject of Hagandarimukt Gaon.

Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the entire India Cleanliness Campaign,

so today it has become a topic of discussion not only in whole of India but in the world. Though

the

discussion started in the beginning, but after realizing this fact that there is a direct link between

the developments of the country, this discussion has stopped, and now the thinking process is

going on in the country about how this campaign will be successful.

There are many consequences of not having a toilets in the house such as disease like

cholera, jaundice, and so on have developed, at night, women are exposed to thorns, and they

take advantage of this opportunity to harass them. In the rural areas, they have to leave the house

for sewage discharge before morning or after dark. Through this rally we explained people what

are the importance of Hagandarimukt Gaon, to resolve the above problems.

In this rally there were 5 teachers and 100 students actively involved.

Tree Plantation Program

The tree plantations work done by the 100 NSS Volunteers in collaboration with

Grampanchayat Khandala. On the opening of these Programme Principal Dr. B. K. Karale shared

the information about the policies of Government of Maharashtra, regarding the tree plantation.

He also shared the benefits, which are behind the tree plantation. In his speech, he explained that

Tree plantation is good for the environment.

Road safety Campaign

On 2nd

January, 2015, Radhabai Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar

organized ‘Road Safety Program’ in association with Honda showroom Ahmednagar. In this

program the student where guided about the road safety, safety signs on roads and speed limits.

They also trained our students to drive safely.

112 students actively participated in this programe. The program was well received

by Principle Dr.Bhausaheb Karale , chairman of NSS Dr. Sanjay Nagarkar , the member of

NSS Ms.Dage and all the faculty and the student attended.

Student Welfare Committee

Personality Development The Department ofStudent Welfare committee of Radhabai Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya,

Ahmednagar in collaboration with SavitribaiPhule Pune University, Pune organized a Scheme of

Personality Development. It was inaugurated by Dr.B.K.Karale, Principal Radhabai Kale

Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar. Mr. B. S. Nikalje student welfare officer of our college

introduced the purpose of the Programme.

A one Day Programme of Personality Development was organized on 04th

Feb., 2015

by the student welfare committee of the college. The speaker of this programme Dr.

PritamkumarBedarkarAhmednagar College, Ahmednagar expressed his views onPersonality

Development.There were 94 students and 05 Teachers were actively participated in this

Programme .Student Welfare Committee, S. P. P .University Pune sanctioned Rs.10,000/-for the

scheme.

Report on Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Birth Anniversary Programme

Radhabai Kale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ahmednagar has celebrated Savitribai

Krantijyoti Phule Birth Anniversary in the college on 3rd

January, 2015.

Ms. Durgatai Tambe (Mayor, Sangmner Nagarpalika, Sangamner) expressed her

views on the life and work of Savitribai Phule. She said, “Savitribai Phule was the first

woman, who stood alone for the girls’ education and took lots of efforts to avail the education

for women and started first girls’ school in Pune. The day is celebrated in memory of this

personality”

Many students delivered speeches on the life of Savitribai Phule. This programmes

has been celebrated in memory of Savitribai Phule’s life and her contribution in the society.

For this programme, Prin. Dr. B. K. Karale, teaching and non- teaching staff and the

Report on Welcome of Female Child (Sree Janmache Swagat) Programme

On the auspicious occasion of the inauguration of National Service Scheme (Academic

Year: 2014-15). The programme ‘Welcome of Female Child’ (Sree Janmache Swagat) was

organized on 19th

August, 2014.

The famous Eye Specialist, social worker and author; Dr. Mrs. Sudha Kankariya

inaugurated the programme. She stressed the importance of female child and explained the

condition of women in India through various poems and examples. She expressed the need of

women’s education and the support from the society. The programme was tagged with the slogan

‘Beti Nahi Toh Bahu Kahase Laoge’ (If there is no daughter; there will be no daughter-in-law)

enthusiastically.

Principal Dr. B.K. Karale was the chairperson for this programme. Mr. Dnyandeo

Pandule, Dr. Mrs. Sangita Kulkarni and Mr. S.N. Avhad were present for the programme.

Report on the International Youth Day Programme

International Youth Day has been celebrated on 12th August, 2014 in the memory

of Swami Vivekanand Birth Anniversary. The students were sworn to create a new

mindset and positive attitude for the bright future of nation.

‘Youth is life’ was the theme of this programme. Dr. K. B. Jadhav (Maharashtra

State A.I.D.S. Control Society, Department of District A.I.D.S. Prevention and Control,

Civil Hospital Ahmednagar.) expressed that how the ability of youth is important for the

development of the healthy nation.

On this occasion Dr. S. P. Nagarkar expressed his views on the importance of

youth day. Principal Dr. B. K. Karale, Vice- Principal, Dr. B. K. Auti and Mr. S. N. Avhad.

Total 107 students were participated in the programme.
