What do you want in an architect?RE

With great passion for design and extreme dedication to the enrichment and advancement of the built environment, particularly as it manifests into the physical through the architectural development process. Whether via pencil and trace, or utilizing the most advanced modeling and presentation technology, always investigating new ways to explore the possible and realize the visionary on every achievable level: but without losing sight of the practical needs of the project and most importantly, the people for whom it is intended to serve.

DESIGN? Where it all begins...

Great design is not an option: it’s an obligation....

Application of sustainable building practices with applied and continued research and implementation (including but by no means limited to LEED certification) is a crucial priority. Working on numerous projects designed to, or in process of attaining various levels of LEED certification has helped develop an in depth understanding of the USGBC rating system. But more importantly, extensive research on the subject of sustainable practice, while also spearheading ‘Net-Zero’ R&D studies has provided substantial insight into how to apply and actually realize principles of truly sustainable architectural practice; which has been a deep rooted passion - long before accepted into the mainstream.

SUSTAINABILITY? How we move forward...

Page 5: Ray.Everett

It’s a necessity: for the profession and for us all..

TOOLS? How it all gets done...

Did someone say BIM? Development of BIM technology, as well as the application of the most current software and tool-sets has always been at the forefront. As project architect for numerous success-ful projects: contract documentation along with the research and implementation of the most current building technologies has be-come second nature.

Better technology, properly utilized: makes better projects...

MANAGEMENT? Process, Organization and Responsibility...

Although always focused in finding every opportunity to elevate design throughout the course of any given project (from concept to detailing), over the years strong skills in all aspects of project and client management, programming, consultant and internal team coordination, document production and contract administration have continued to be developed. It’s never enough to just keep status quo: above and beyond is where the bar is set.

After all - projects don’t just manage themselves..
