Hi Parents and Students! It’s that time of year again where we gear up for Impact Backyard Bible Clubs! This is a highlight of the year for us as leaders and for our students. What is Impact? Impact is an annual backyard Bible club ministry led by teams of high school and junior high students. Every year we train over 100 students to teach the Gospel and play games with children throughout our community hoping they will follow Jesus as a result. Why do we do Impact? One of our core values at TBC is to live on mission. This means that the Gospel does not stop with us, but we seek ways to impact our city. Impact is one way through which we do that. Details When: Training camp in New Braunfels: June 8-13 Impact Clubs: June 16-19 Carnival @ TBC: June 20 Who: Current 7-12th grades (7th grade sign-up will be limited. Tim will send out more details.) Cost: $150 (partial scholarships available) Sign-up @ www.templebiblechurch.org or @ the Outback Sunday Afternoon Trainings We will have six, mandatory, Sunday afternoon, training sessions leading up to camp. They will be 12:30-3 pm at the Outback and will take place March 23, April 6, 13, May 4, 18, 25. Please plan to attend all of these trainings. Other Important Dates March 2-meeting @ Outback for 10-12th grades 12:30-2 pm June 1-camp informational meeting @ Outback 12:30-1:30 pm Expectations -We need one parent to sign a commitment form at first training March 23 stating that you understand the dates and time commitments for your student. -Full payment and medical release form due by May 25. -Your student needs to attend all of the Sunday afternoon trainings, Impact camp and Impact clubs. During the week of clubs your student will be with us from 7:45 am-9 pm each day so please do not schedule anything that conflicts. Please let me know if you have any questions! John: The Truth About Jesus On Sunday mornings this spring we will be studying the rich truths found in the Gospel of John. Please pray for wisdom and clarity for our teachers! Also, please pray that the Holy Spirit will do a great work in the lives of our young people as they are challenged to persevere in trials, honor God with how they speak, act out their faith, and many other topics.

Good Friday Prayer Breakfast Every year on Good Friday we take time to meditate on and interact with the fact of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. We do this through participating in prayers sta-tions throughout the Outback. Fri, April 18th 10AM-1PM

C-Groups C-Groups are an awesome opportunity for your student to get connected with other students in our youth ministry. Students (same gender and grade) meet weekly with an adult leader. This is a time filled with Bible study, prayer, fellowship, accountability, and fun. C-Groups meet on Wed. evenings @ the Outback 6-8PM. Dinner provided

Pine Cove Retreat This spring, the 6th-8th grade students of Overflow Jr. High at TBC will be heading out for an awesome weekend at Pine Cove. Every year our students find this to be fun, refreshing, and challenging in their Christian walk. April 25-27 Cost: $120 Sign up at the Outback or TBC office

30 Hour Famine Can 6th-8th graders go without food for 30 hours straight? Absolutely! I see God do great things every year as we fast, pray, worship, and serve together to support World Vision! The famine runs Fri, March 28th @ 7PM—Sat, March 29th @ 3PM. The students are asked to begin their fast after lunch on Friday. Look for more info in the mail. Sign up at the Outback!

IMPACT 7th-12th graders share the Gospel all over Bell County June 16-19. Training camp in New Braunfels is June 8-13. The cost is $150 for camp. Sign up at the Outback for a chance to see change and to be change!

Dear Parents, I want to encourage you to listen to our weekly podcasts for Sunday morning at Overflow so you can understand what we are teaching your students and so you can reinforce at home. We recently started the book of Judges where we see the Israelites fall into certain sin patterns that closely parallel the kinds of patterns with which we struggle. I would especially encourage you to listen to our podcast entitled “Passing on Faith” since it relates to parents passing on faith to their children.
