Conclusion
Dear Parents,
The eagerly awaited second term commenced on
31st August 2015.
It’s been an eventful year. The activities and
competitions served as a platform to express and
implore the multifarious talents of students resulting
in their all-round development.
At the end of the year we bring to you another issue
which mirrors our modest efforts to mould
individuals with intellectual competence and multi-
tasking caliber.
At Yara International we focus on hands-on activities to rekindle the
love of learning and connect abstract concepts to the real world while
achieving desired educational outcomes. As students put projects
together, create crafts, or use familiar materials in new ways, they are
constructing meaning.
Our students participate in projects and practice an interdisciplinary
array of skills from Math, Science, Social Studies, language to Fine
Arts.
1st graders developed their scientific temperament during this term by
creating individual projects. The students prepared impressive models of
abacus and amazing animal masks as EVS and Math projects. 1
Using the integrated activity of brain and imagination our second graders presented
awe inspiring models of solid shapes as a Math project. The students flaunted their
creativity by constructing still and working models of different kinds of houses and
sources of water as an E.V.S project.
The 3rd
graders synthesized their knowledge from various areas of learning, and
creatively applied it to prepare a project on textiles as their E.V.S project. The
students also used their remarkable aptitude to prepare charts on adverbs as an
English project.
Utilizing the best from unwanted things has become a generic necessity of every
human’s life. Our 4th graders prepared the project ‘Best out of waste’ for a greener
future. The students used their creativity to create impressive crafts using unwanted
materials in a useful way.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES
A day that revives, celebrates and commits to
our children and their future. YIS celebrated
childhood with a colorful cultural programme
presented by the teachers with great passion
and excitement. Commencing with a play in the memory of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and his fondness for
children to a rhythmic blend of music, dance and drama- the event was marked by
excitement, splendor and a sense of youthful exuberance.
The students were delighted to see teachers disguise themselves as cartoon characters
and dance to remixed hits.
Health Week In an effort to instill the importance of
good nutrition and healthy lifestyle among
students a “Health week” was organized at
Yara International, wherein students were
provided with information to help develop
healthy eating habits and to ensure that all
students are healthy, engaged and
connected at school. 3
The health week was followed by a special assembly presenting sound nutrition
messages in a thoroughly entertaining way, captivating children's attention
throughout the assembly and triggering excitement to create a healthier school
environment.
The major attraction this year was our very first ‘Open House’ and ‘a feather to the
cap’ was the Student-Led Conference conducted by grades I -III. It was an
opportunity for an interaction between the students, their parents and the teachers,
allowing students to demonstrate their individual growth and any particular
achievements that they are proud of.
PowerPoint presentations were used not only to go over the curriculum and
classroom rules, but also to celebrate what makes each child unique and to showcase
the great time our kids have in school. The efforts put in proved beneficial in fostering
a home-school partnership, establishing an open and honest dialogue and giving
students a chance to develop and use real world skills. Students were also given a
chance to demonstrate to parents the direct improvement in their own learning.
The drill display and cultural event marked the formal culmination of a host of
colourful programmes which exhibited the talents of our multifaceted whiz-kids! The
entire audience sat spellbound as each item unfolded to set the extraordinary talents
of our budding youngsters.

Parent Teacher Meeting:
The rapport between a parent and a teacher has been
researched for many years. These studies have concluded
that when a parent is actively involved in their child’s
education, it benefits all involved in one way or another.

conducted to successfully overcome the challenges and
obstacles faced by the students.
