About IMA Back to School
Established in 2008, IMA Back to School was a project and committee of the IMA. The IMA saw a need and began
trying to fulfill it for the community. The event was to take place in the park but because of the scorching temperatures in
Savannah, IMA made a request to the Mayor of Savannah. The City of Savannah started its partnership and then others
joined in to make this a successful event. The first year we had over 3600 attendees and it has grown to having over 5,000
attendees with over 80 exhibitor booths and almost 300 dental and health checks. This is one of the largest family events
in the city.
