What a year it has been since the last edition of realty. it seems like every positive sign in the real estate industry is countered by a negative indication. Nevertheless, investor confidence does seem to be slightly up. offices, retail, logistics and housing projects are finding funding. so developers can get started, consultants fill up their portfolios and tenants and buyers are seeing great new locations. at realty, all these professionals will once again meet to discuss real estate business. and that’s what keeps this industry going: people meeting people. it has been my personal privilege to be able to be at the head of this great event for 6 years. i would like to take a moment to thank all partners, exhibitors and participants for their years of contributing to realty. at the end of this 6th edition, i will hand over the organization of the event to Helen mortier, a very dynamic and wonderful lady. she has 15 years of experience in the trade fair business and i am confident that she will be able to keep realty’s soaring popularity going. all it takes is your continuous support and commitment.see you at realty!

Deloitte recently undertook a comprehensive research project for the VBO-FEB (Federation of Enterprises in Belgium, the multisector employer organisation representing companies in Belgium’s three regions), aimed at uncovering new evidence about why certain companies achieve exceptional performance in today’s economy, while others struggle to survive. As outlined in the project’s report entitled “Reinvent your business – Decoding the formula for superior performance”, there are a series of management practices which contribute most to sustained and superior corporate performance – and namely a winning three-rule formula. We are convinced that the insight from this study can be very valuable, not only to you as the first business partner to your organisation, but also to the people with a similar mandate with within your organization. During this presentation, we will delve into the survey to identify the key trends in the Belgian real estate & construction market We will also take the time to reflect on how real estate & construction profes-sionals can use this formula, not only for themselves, but also for the business they partner with.
