On April 14th, Indian Rock Yoga held classes to support Rebuild. Proceeds from that days classes were donated to help our cause. Some participants are pictured below.

On April 18th, the Antrim Players put on a great performance of “Damn Yankees”, from which a percentage of ticket sales benfited Rebuild Hi-Tor. The Rockland Boulder’s Bird made an appearance during intermission and Jimmy’s on Main provided complimentary refreshments.

On April 17th, Caesar’s Grill Restaurant held another Dine & Donate event to support Rebuild. Thank you to owner, Cesar Mesias, for his great support of Rebuild Hi-Tor. 10% of the day’s revenues were donated.

The Tag Sale at Access Storage on April 27th was well organized and very profitable for Rebuild! Thank you to

Evelyn Ringel and Judy Stone who spent all year stocking up for this super tag sale and did a great job on the day of the sale. Proceeds of $1,100 will benefit Hi-Tor and Rebuild Hi-Tor. We also thank Access Self Storage, who helped promote this event, printed flyers and supplied storage space to Hi-Tor at a reduced rate. Extra special gratitude to all the Rebuild volunteers who worked long & hard to move, unpack and display the many items & re-pack the remains - Andy Schwartz, David & Sherri, Zach & Michael Paul, Liz & Tom Steele, Regina Seeley, Maureen Benedict, Patricia Platon, Lisa Ciccatelli, Joe Tartagliano, Arlene Kahn & Eric Goldman, Dottie Harrington, Susan & Eli Tackel, Artie Backman, Cal Mendelsohn, Joe Tartagliani and Diana Trojan - apologies to anyone who was not mentioned - without all of your efforts, this event would not be possible.

Some of our top finishers are pictured below, along with some stylin’ Rebuild supporters. Thanks to Casert Shand Jr. for the photography taken the day of the race.

BOWLING FUNDRAISER

FRIDAY5/31

MAY 5th

The Fundraising Committee’s next meeting will be held on Thursday, June 13th at 6:30pm in the New City Library Meeting Room. If you have any ideas or events in mind, please e-mail Andy Schwartz at [email protected] to discuss them.

DATE CHANGE! Our “Rebuild for the Animals” Walk-a-Thon is in the works and planned for Sunday July 21, 2013 at Rockland Lake. Stay tuned for more info!

BOWLING FUNDRAISER FORM

Founded in 1973, Hi-Tor Animal Care Center, Inc. is a privately incorporated, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and improving animal life, promoting responsible pet adoption and ownership, and providing humane treatment for all animals in its care. The facility is the only animal shelter in Rockland County and takes in approximately 2,500 animals annually.

The current shelter has long outlived its usefulness, and a county-wide effort to build an adequate facility, for the animals that look to us for protection, is underway.

With the help of residents, local businesses and corporate donations from the top businesses in the Rockland County area, we hope to raise approximately $700,000 to fund the cost of building a new shelter with modern facilities for the abandoned and unwanted animals throughout the county. Our goal is to break ground in the spring of 2013, with zero cost to the County of Rockland.

There are so many ways to help! Find our page at facebook.com/RebuildHiTorAnimalShelter
