Experience lab at NRF 2015.
We hope you gained some insight from our
perspective on the digital future of retail. We
believe in-store digital workplace and digital
customer experiences will fuel the future of
retail. These experiences include efficient task
management, associate productivity, omni-
channel commerce, in-store customer
intelligence, clienteling, and next-generation
interactive experiences.

Avanade Connected RetailOur Retail Store Experience Lab represents our work with some of the world's biggest retailers to help them create engaging experiences
that stay true to the brand and expand customer loyalty. The Lab presented many parts of our Connected Retail suite: a collection of
solutions based on Microsoft technology that work to transform the in-store shopping experiences, provide seamless omni-channel
service, and digitize store operations to engage and incent employees to provide outstanding customer service.

Shop from AnywhereYour Lab Tour started with a discussion on how digital technology, including mobile, sensors and digital signs, can deliver unique
experiences that captivate customers and build greater loyalty.
Secure BeaconsWith our partner Footmarks, we discussed
with you the potential to transform customer
engagements via personalized, beacon-
enabled user-to-user and user-to-device
messaging.
Social Shopping
We presented the first beacon-enabled social
sharing solution for the connected retailer.
The solution supports value-added scenarios
such as enabling the use of beacons to leave
a message for another family
member or friend.
Interactive Service
We finished this part of the tour discussing
how in-store digital displays can be turned
into fun, collaborative, and engaging
experiences. We highlighted how two-way
beacons can enable a 2-screen experience
that allows customers and associates to
collaborate over large displays.

Empower Store AssociatesThe next part of the tour discussed how integrating mobile can reinvent how associates and customers
interact inside and outside the store.
Next Generation Assisted SellingWe discussed how easy to use, user centric mobile applications that
seamlessly connect store associates with robust retail back-office
capabilities and information can empower them to make your stores
a point of differentiation in your customers’ minds.
Advancements in Mobile Point of SaleWe demonstrated our Assisted Selling Solution integrated with
Panasonic’s Toughpad® FZ-R1, the industry’s first 17-inch all-in-one
mobile POS tablet running Windows 8.1 for retail environments. The
integration of these tools helps retailers meet the heightened
expectations of service by today’s customers while providing secure
transaction capabilities.

Digitize the Store (Managers and Associates)We closed the tour with a discussion on how digitizing store operations including analytics, scheduling, and
merchandising can help improve store performance and profitability.
Role-based Store PortalsWe presented the idea of role-based portals where digital processes and information are presented based on the user's job role, department and
store location. Information and processes tailored to a user’s context and location is proven to help improve performance.
Store AnalyticsWe discussed the importance of giving store managers and associates the data needed to make timely decisions that can impact store performance
and profitability. We highlighted our Touch Analytics solution that delivers touch-enabled dashboards, scorecards and KPIs consistently and securely
with striking visualizations across any device.

The Tour Highlighted the Best of Microsoft Technology for Digital and Retail
Digital information and digital interactivity in the retail
store holds great promise for transforming the retail store
experience, leading to enhanced customer engagement
and improved employee performance. But digital only
makes sense if it can improve profitability -- and
improved profitability can only be achieved if digital
technology can be easily integrated with a retailer’s
existing systems and data.
We hope you enjoyed exploring with us how digital
capabilities using Microsoft technology and Avanade
managed services can be applied in your existing store
environments to captivate customers, engage employees,
and improve store performance.
