ENOC also leases product storage tanks to customers, provides technical assistance in planning of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) storage facilities, high and low flash tankage, nitrogen facilities, broad base blending, drumming, decanting, container stuffing/ destuffing, molecular filtration, manufacturing of LPG cylinders, tanks and pressure vessels. Additionally, ENOC provides structural fabrication and in-plant pipe laying, shells for dissolved acetylene gas and refrigerant gas cylinders, steel fabrication, chlorine tonners, bulk ISO containers, and IT hardware, software, service, and support. In 2014, ENOC became the first organisation in the region to commence the sale of “Ultra-low Sulphur Diesel” across its retail and commercial networks. ENOC also absorbed the additional cost involved in distributing the low-emission diesel. Highlighting its commitment to environmental sustainability, ENOC has introduced low SAPS (sulphated ash, phosphorous and sulphur) engine oils, and high quality lubricants offering superior oil drain period, engine cleanliness and engine life, contributing to lesser emissions. ENOC launched its Vehicle Identification Pass (ViP), a radio frequency identification and a vehicle identification-based fuel retailing system at ENOC/ EPPCO service stations which allows commercial users and fleet-owners to fuel on-the-go without the need to pay in cash or use credit cards. EMGAS, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ENOC, launched Pro-Power, an innovative fuelling system that assures improved performance, prolonged engine life, and reduced maintenance and lifecycle costs. Pro-Power produces significantly lower emissions than comparable fuels. In 2013 EMGAS introduced Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), a clean and green fuel of choice that supports the “Green Economy for Sustainable Development” vision of the UAE. On the supply and processing side, STP manages a state-of-the- art condensate petroleum refinery, the first in Dubai. The division also oversees the operations of a gas processing plant. Through its offices in London and Singapore, STP ensures active participation in proprietary trading activities for all petroleum products in key international markets. Marketing - The Marketing segment of ENOC has key subsidiary operations that cover aviation fuelling, gas distribution, lubes distribution and production, industrial products and chemicals. Its Industrial Products Division specialises in the procurement and sale of petroleum products, while EMGAS is the leading supplier of LPG and propane in the UAE. Aviation Fuel Marketing is a leading provider of quality aviation fuel products for the commercial and military sectors. Retail - The Retail business segment is dedicated to fuel and non-fuel services and today operates one of the largest retail networks in the region. The business has expanded to franchising its convenience store concept across the Middle East. ENOC Retail operates a network of ENOC and EPPCO service stations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and is fast expanding its remit to other GCC nations through joint ventures and partnerships. The first GCC service station opened in Saudi Arabia as a joint venture of ENOC and Aldrees. ENOC Retail set new benchmarks in the retail sector with the introduction of the ZOOM convenience stores that operate as part of the service stations and on the Dubai Metro network. This core business is supplemented by car wash and oil change facilities. ENOC partners with global brands to offer high quality branded fast food in high traffic service stations. ENOC Retail employs over 4,000 frontline staff and serves more than 60 million customers annually. Terminals - Horizon Terminals Limited (Horizon) consolidates ENOC’s existing terminalling investments and since its inception, Horizon has expanded its operations from UAE and Saudi Arabia to Singapore, South Korea, Djibouti and Morocco. RECENT DEVELOPMENTS ESMA, the UAE’s sole standardisation body, officially nominated EMGAS as the executors of CNG activities in the UAE. ENOC joined a committee, formed by various Dubai government entities including ESMA, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Department of Economic Development, Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority and Dubai Police; taking concerted action against companies and agents involved in the illegal trade of diesel. ENOC opened its first commercial service station inside Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central to meet the growing fuel requirements at Dubai’s fast-growing new airport. Horizon Terminals Limited built the new Horizon Fujairah Distribution Terminal, with storage capacity of over 24,000 cubic metres and directly linked to the oil tanker berths in the Port of Fujairah, to further consolidate the Emirate as a global hub in oil and gas storage EPPCO signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, to support young Emirati entrepreneurs to set up and operate ENOC’s ZOOM convenience stores across the Emirates and is now offering extended franchising support for UAE nationals, to set up ZOOM or PAAVO’S Pizza franchises. ENOC won the qualification certificate from the Saudi Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministry to manage, operate and maintain fuel service stations along Saudi highways and roads. ENOC joined with Tristar Transport to set up a new joint venture in Saudi Arabia focused on specialised logistics services for the Kingdom’s petroleum and chemicals sectors. Tasjeel started offering round-the-clock service at its Al Twar and Al Barsha centres. Tasjeel launched a new On-board Diagnostic service at its Al Qusais site, which helps identify minor or major electrical issues relating to anti-lock braking systems, airbags and any technical faults related to engine, transmission, among others.
