Barely 6 months after the launch of the Rough Chic collection, Miralis, kitchen cabinet manufacturer in Bas-St-Laurent, received an award at the A’Design Award and Competition in Milan, Italy. This competition highlights the products that meet specified criteria for quality, design excellence, innovation, functionality and technology. This A’Design Award will be granted to Miralis during the next « EuroCucina » international show in April, in Milan. Among the competition runners-up are also Lamborghini, Coca-Cola, and Bombardier. The Rough Chic collection from Miralis stems from the “barn wood” trend, which has been very popular over the past few months. This collection showcases all the characteristics found in raw wood, such as knots and cracks. That raw wood, previously rejected because of those very rustic properties, is now reclaimed to create kitchens that have a unique design. The company, along with its team of engi- neers, machine operators, cabinetmakers, and color specialists, built a machine that enhances the wood’s texture. With this machine, it is now possible to give a specific color to the wood, therefore providing it with a weathered look from season to season. Interior designers are unanimous, the Rough Chic collection allows the successful combination of rustic materials along with more contemporary products. . Miralis, founded in 1976, gradually established its reputation in the kitchen cabinet manufacturing industry, thanks to the innovation, the quality, and the enthusiasm that distinguished it over the years. Indeed, the Quebec-based company invariably prioritizes innovation and strives to surprise and fascinate the consumers with its products, while also making the modern and classic kitchen a friendly and functional space. Guided by the desire for constant improvement, the team ensures that all the measures taken are aimed to satisfy our clients’ requirements, whether inside our 125,000 square foot state-of-the-art factory or outside of it, by our proximity to clients and the close relationships we have with our consumers, designers and kitchen specialists. The project team (from left to right): Daniel Drapeau, Langis Bélanger, Philippe Murray, Paul Lévesque, Dany Fortin, Donald Brisson, Jean-François Savard, Sylvain Audy, Stéphane Fournier, Frédérick Côté, Annie Boudreau, Harold Bélanger, Marie-Pier Fillion, and Michel Labonté.

The company, along with its team of engi-neers, machine operators, cabinetmakers, and color specialists, built a machine that enhances the wood’s texture.
