INTERIOR WORK:SCOPE OF WORK INCLUDES INTERIOR RENOVATIONS AND MINOR INTERIOR STRUCTURAL MODIFICATIONS (TO THE EXISTING INTERIOR LOAD BEARINGWALLS TO ALLOW FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW AMERICAN'S WITH DISABILITIES ACT (ADA) COMPLIANT ELEVATOR, NEW LIFE SAFETYSTAIRWAY, AND ENLARGEMENT OF EXISTING SPACES FOR A NEW MULTI-PURPOSE HALL). INTERIOR RENOVATIONS INCLUDE RELOCATION AND BUILD-OUT FOR NEW ADA TOILET ROOMS AND ADA SHOWERS, AN SUPPLY AND WEAPON'S ARMORY, AND OFFICES. MECHANICAL WORK INCLUDES NEWHVAC SYSTEMS. PLUMBING WORK INCLUDES NEW PLUMBING WORK INCLUDES NEW SANITARY AND SUPPLY WATER LINES AND FIXTURES. NEWELECTRICAL WORK INCLUDES NEW POWER AND DATA SYSTEMS.
EXTERIOR WORK:THE EXTERIOR WORK IS LIMITED TO REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR OF WOOD ROT AND REPAIR TO DAMAGE OF EXISTING BRICK WORK. EXTERIORWINDOWS WILL BE REPLACED WITH NEW THERMALLY EFFICIENT WINDOWS AND NEW STOREFRONT FRAMES WILL MATCH CURRENT MULLIONPRESENTATION OF EXISTING. EXISTING EXTERIOR HOLLOW METAL DOORS WILL BE REFINISHED TO MATCH EXISTING.
SITEWORK:SITE WORK IS LIMITED TO REGRADING AND RE-PAVING OF DETERIORATED ASPHALT THAT OCCURS AT FRONT (WEST SIDE) OF BUILDING . PARKINGLOT STRIPING WILL ALSO BE IDENTIFIED OVER NEW RE-PAVING AND OVER EXISTING PAVING TO REMAIN. EXISTING DETERIOATED SIDEWALKS AROUNDTHE BUILDING WILL ALSO BE REPLACED. A NEW DECORATIVE SECURITY WALL AND FENCE WILL BE DESIGNED AND LOCATED ON N. HOWARD STREET(EAST SIDE) OF BUILDING ATHE THE INTERSECTION OF CASS STREET TO PREVENT VEHICLES FROM RUNNING INTO PROPERTY AND BUILDING (THEREHAVE BEEN TWO INCIDENTS IN PAST YEARS WHERE CARS HAVE CRASHED INTO THIS BUILDING). LANDSCAPING WILL BE PROVIDED, BUT MUST MEETTHE CRITERIA OF THE GOVERNMENTS FORCE PROTECTION / ANTI-TERRORISM CRITERIA.
SITE UTILITIES WORK:EXISTING SITE UTILITIES WILL BE REPLACED FROM BUILDING TO POINTS OF SERVICE DUE TO UNCERTAINTY OF CONDITION AND AGE OF SYSTEMS.
