reflection paper 3

1
For my last and final paper, I found myself making the same mistakes as I did in paper 1 and 2. Again, I would not stay on topic of what the prompt was asking me to figure out. What I found was that these topics were very broad and it gave me room to write as I please which in the end hurt me. I need to work on my structure and organization when it comes to writing essays that are giving me specific topics to write about. I did have better vocabulary incorporated into my essay and the overall structure was better than the previous essays. My focus on this essay overall was mostly on the original ad and its cons. I wrote on how this ad should be changed and how it is affecting the public and girls all over in a negative matter. I briefly touched upon the anti ad that I had to create and barley discussed the purpose of the creation of this lab as well as the background history on every little detail and how it can positively affect the public and their outlook on many different perspectives of life. With these changes, I took out big chunks of the essay that were “fluff” and not necessary to be inputted into the essay. I put less opinion and more factual based information on the anti ad. I went into detail as to why the words were bolded and the colors and the different people were used. This essay was turned upside down. I did keep some of the previous paragraphs that explained the negative looks on the original so the reader could compare and contrast the different and uniquely different ads. In the end, I learned after writing this essay to be more organized with what I write. I would briefly touch upon the anti ad in random spots of paragraphs, which could easily confuse the reader. Jumping from one idea to the other is not concise and looks very disorganized. I learned to be consistent with what the paragraph is talking about and not put random thoughts in parts of the essay. I also learned to jot own all of my ideas on a piece of paper before I commence writing my essay. That way, I can cut out a lot of careless mistakes which will improve my writing abilities for the future.
