Regard

Synergy among light, deluxe and geometry

Regard redefines the relationship between light, architecture and form. The merging of two different light solutions in geometric forms drives the design of this semi-recessed downlight. Unlike a traditional downlight with multiple lightsources, Regard is based on architectural principles and locates each light-function into its own form. The attention devoted to the proportions and links between the forms results in a minimalist and abstract sculpture that adorns architecture. Enhanced by opulent colours, Regard dialogues with surrounding architecture within a distinctive and luxuriant personality.

Synergie tussen licht, luxe en geometrie

Regard herdefinieert de relatie tussen licht, architectuur en vorm. De samensmelting van twee verschillende lichtoplossingen in geometrische volumes bepaalt de vormgeving van dit toestel dat gedeeltelijk ingebouwd wordt. Anders dan een traditionele downlight met meerdere lichtbronnen is Regard gebaseerd op architecturale principes en plaatst elke lichtfunctie in een individueel volume. De aandacht die is besteed aan de proporties en de verbinding tussen deze volumes resulteert in een minimalistisch en abstract volume dat de architectuur versterkt. Het gamma aan harmonieuze kleuren versterkt de dialoog van Regard met omliggende architectuur wat resulteert in een dynamische en luxueuze sfeer.

Regard embraces light function within a frame of monotone finish and cubic design. This same frame enables innumerable compositions and provides designers with a graphic tool. For example, two versions of Regard can coexist in the same ceiling: gear excluded or gear included. In the latter version, the aperture is decentered and the technical components are stored in the closed portion. Regard is a directional downlight or a dimmable TC-L light source for general lighting applications. The directional downlight is designed for bare lamps QT12-ax and HIT-TC or the reflector lamp QR-LP111. This fitting also features highly efficient reflectors that can be easily installed and therefore allow a rapid modification from narrow to medium-wide light beams.

Regard omvat verlichting in een primair volume met een discrete afwerking en een kubistische vormgeving. Dit volume geeft de mogelijkheid tot talloze configuraties waardoor een grafisch element aan het plafond toegevoegd kan worden. Zo kunnen bijvoorbeeld twee versies van Regard, zonder en met voorschakelapparatuur, samen op één plafond toegepast worden. Regard inclusief voorschakelapparatuur, is de opening asymmetrisch ten opzichte van het volume. Regard is voorzien van een richtbare downlight of een dimbare TC-L lichtbron voor algemene verlichting. De directionele downlight is ontworpen om gebruikt te worden met QT12-ax, HIT-TC of reflectorlamp QR-LP111. Dit toestel maakt ook gebruik van hoogrendementsreflectoren die eenvoudig geïnstalleerd kunnen worden. Hierdoor is het mogelijk om lichtbundels snel en eenvoudig aan te passen.

Concerning scale, articulation of forms, monotone finish and cubic design, the two volumes of Regard Double resemble a harmonic architectural construction. As a logical separation between the two lighting applications proposed, Regard Double can be delivered with different lamp types within the two shapes and a double circuit connection. In the primary form, directional QT12-ax, QR-LP111 or HIT-TC enable choices among narrow, medium or wide beams. In the secondary form, general lighting applications can be supplied by HIT-TC, T16 or QR-CBC51.

Door schaal, vormentaal, discrete afwerking en kubistische vormgeving resulteren de twee volumes van Regard Double in een harmonieuze architecturale constructie. Vanuit een logische scheiding tussen twee lichtfuncties, wordt Regard Double voorzien van twee volumes met verschillende lichtbron en gescheiden aansluitmogelijkheid. In het primaire volume geven QT12-ax, QR-LP111 of HIT-TC de mogelijkheid om voor smalle, medium of brede lichtbundels te kiezen. In het secundaire volume kan met voor algemene verlichtingstoepassingen kiezen uit HIT-TC, T16 of QR-CBC51.
