FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK SEASONS CHANGE

Seasons Change. In life change is inevitable. The wise King Solomon said in Ecclesiates 3:1-3 “ To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the sun. A time to be born, and a time to die: a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted, a time to kill and a time to heal: a time to break down, and a time to build up”. Whether we want it or not, Change happens. Change can be defined as to undergo transformation, transition, or substitution, to give a different course or direction to. Attitudes can change, people can change, often times people change their minds and even the leaves change as the fall season approaches. Many of us do not like changes because it signifies not knowing what is going to be. The uncertainty. We are used to the security of what we know. The Familiar. Yet God assures us in Romans 8:28 that no matter what changes may take place in our lives we can rest in His promises that “All things are working together for our good”. Sometimes we may lose a loved one, or move to a strange place, it may be a new member of the family added or a new ministry, rest assured God is in control. As summer changes to fall we see the manifestation of the splendor of God’s creation before our eyes. We know that Change is coming. We know without a doubt that even the leaves are given their specific assignments by God as to when they should change color. How great is our God. Change is coming! At R.L.M we experienced change as we transitioned the Ministry from Georgia back to New York City where it all began. Sometimes change is the best thing that could ever happen to you, because God has doubled his favor, blessings and anointing upon us. Blessed with youth who are serious about their walk with God I deem it an awesome privilege to Pastor these young minds and can see the growth in them even within this past year. Together with our dynamic youth leaders, Evangelist Debbie and Sis Sherine who also is on fire for God, we seek to nurture our youth and help them develop spiritual strength and to inspire a deeper commitment to the things of God and encourage a lifestyle of worship in them. To the Youth of R.LM:- No greater joy comes to a Pastor’s heart than seeing the young people of tomorrow, the future of the Church, hungering and thirsting after God. It takes time, effort, commitment, and love to develop a closer walk with God, I have watched you grow right before my eyes and have been thrilled to see your love and devotion to the things of God increase day after day. As the Apostle Paul said to young Timothy “Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity”. Be encouraged the world needs to hear your voice proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a today generation. It’s your time now to shine with the truth of the gospel in a crazy and perverse world. You are salt and light and you have been commissioned to .. Go Tell!!! Boldly declare to the world “We are here to stay “. I decree the Manifold blessings of God upon the Youth department of RLM and command the favor of God to always be your portion. You are loved, needed, wanted and appreciated. It’s a New season, it’s a New day. Change has come! R.L.M Youth…………..Go..Impact and light your world!!! With Divine Love for you, Rev. Wendy Mitchell- Your Pastor

MESSAGE FROM PASTOR STEPHEN LEWIS

To My Beloved Sons and Daughters of Regenerating Lives Ministries and Youth Everywhere: Grace, Mercy and Peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus Our Lord. The Apostle Paul in writing to Timothy said…Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind. 2 timothy1:6-7.

To this account, their God given talent, gifts abilities has been challenge and put to the test by their leaders and they have done well as far as the eyes can see.Speaking as their spiritual Father, I am happy to see the level of Spiritual maturity to which they have grown over such a short period of time, all glory goes to God. I deem it my greatest honor and privilege to be a part of the launching of our Youth Magazine edition for 2013. Today I celebrate with them and will continue praying their strength as they are endeavoring to run with the vision.Let us continue to lift them up before the Lord, so that they would not be fearful in doing any task for God. In this world of trouble and so many activities and immor-al way of living, let us always be mindful of our young one in and out of the Church

Let us continue to lift them up before the Lord, so that they would not be fearful in doing any task for God. In this world of trouble and so many activities and immoral way of living, let us always be mindful of our young one in and out of the Church to be sober. We are praying for the Spirit of sound mind to be kept unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are encouraged by the Word of God to stir up the gifts that have been given us by God. I am proud to testify that the young people of RLM are rising to the occa-sion of taking Youth Ministries to the next level. The Apostle state that God did gave them the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and sound mind. The Lord has blessed us with some vibrant Youth that has been demonstrating what the Apostle spoke of in 2 Timothy 1, to stir up the gifts.

What is Evangelism? According to Holman Bible dictionary it is the active calling of people to respond to the message of grace and commit oneself to God in Jesus Christ. Another define Evangelism as the spreading of the Christian gospel by public preaching or personal witness.

Evangelism is derived from the Greek word euaggelion , meaning “gospel” or “good news.” The verbal forms of euaggelizesthai , meaning “to bring” or “to announce good news” Evangelism is based on the “GREAT COMMISSION” found in St.Matthew 28:19-20. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations............Evangelism is dreaded by many but the approach we take to it makes all the difference. Remember Evangelism is telemarketing for Jesus which is a great honor.. There are different ways that we can tell others about Jesus which I will list a few.For those of us who send out payments in the mail, put a track in the envelope.Use social media/internet as a way to evangelize. Write short prayers of forgiveness. Personal evangelism.(this approach to evangelism is when one Christian evangelizes to an unbeliever)Lifestyle evangelism (Let your light shine) Matt 5:16

EVANGELIST DEBBIE

Gospel track evangelismWe have a responsibility as Christians to win the lost at any cost. We were once sinners and we had the opportunity to hear the good news of salvation.I just want to take the time to tell someone that Jesus loves you more than you can ever imagine. If you were the only person on this earth God would still send His son to die for you. You might be saying to yourself I am too far gone, I don’t believe I can be saved anymore. Yes you can be saved! it is God’s will that none should perish. Take a moment ask yourself this ques-tion what if Jesus Christ should put in His appearance am I ready? It takes only a moment to accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour. Romans 10:9 says :That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Won’t you take a moment and say Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner I pray you will forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I ask you to be the Lord of my life in Jesus name I pray. AMEN.With that simple prayer you are now saved. Welcome to the family of GodFor those who evangelise continue to do so. Remember, each one reach one in so doing hell will be plundered while heaven is populated. GO TELL

Heart DiseaseDid you know?Did you know that heart disease is responsible for 600,000 deaths in the united states alone, that is one in every four deaths?Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death in both men and women?Did you know that more women die from heart disease than all cancers combined?Did you know that the first sign of a heart attack for women is usually death?Do you know your risk factors? Are you diabetic? Are you overweight or obese? Is there a family history?Prevention Is KeyKnowing the warning signs and risk factors is a great prevention key. Make sure to follow all instructions given by your doctor. Maintain a healthy weight by living a active lifestyle as well as incorporating a healthy diet that is low in salt; low in total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol; and rich in fresh fruits and vegetables. Knowing your individual risk factors and signs can give you more of a targeted goal to reduce and prevent heart disease. even though heart disease kills more women than all cancers combined heart health is not emphasized as been an epidemic say as breast cancer. Heart disease is considered a silent killer especially in women the first sign is usually death. A ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.As christians we ought to remember the word of God which clearly states in 1 Cor-inthians 6:19 “ What know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”. We have to treat our bodies with the uttermost respect to God our creator. 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prosperity”. To be in good health is what the Lord wants for us therefore; we should beginning with taking care of our heart. To be continued..........

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will up-hold you with my righteous right hand” – Isaiah 41:10

There are many challenges that we face everyday (particu-larly basketball players). Whether it is a bad trade to a team or a broken bone or injury. One of the most common issues is the anxiety and intimidation each player faces when go-ing up against different teams. Now as humans this is natu-ral (I mean I know I would be pretty scared if a seven foot tall man was trying to guard me), but as Christians we must learn to have faith in God and allow him to help us.

The same goes for Christianity; our ability to trust in God keeps our anxiety levels in check and allows us to keep calm and plan our next move on the court properly. Even when scoring (yes your shooting form has to be legit too, but faith is the feeling that helps you to decide to take the shot). So for all my Christian Point Guards out there we all know how giants fall right? So we need to get out there and trust in God.

To praise and worship God is to express our love and awe of who He is. In Isaiah 66:1 God says, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.” He is the Creator of the universe and everything in it, which includes you and me. How wonderful and amazing is that!

What is Praise and Worship?

Worship, according to the dictionary means: a) to show pro-found religious devotion; b) to have intense love and admira-tion; and the definition of praise is: a) to express admiration or approval for; b) to express thanks and worship to God. In other words, praise and worship go hand in hand.

Praising and worshiping God is not about a ritual, or prayer repetition. It’s not about spending a few minutes a day reading our bible or about reciting our wish list on a daily basis. True worship requires total commitment of our body, mind and spirit. It’s about exalting, adoring and acknowledging The Lord our God. It has nothing to do with religion, but it has everything to do with having an intimate and profound relationship with God - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

To many, worship is associated with singing. But there are certainly other types of worship. I believe the most important way to show our devotion to God is through our everyday lives. When we strive to be Christ-like, to loving and serving others, to honoring and glorifying God, then we are truly worshiping Him.

When we fail to worship God we always find a substitute, even if it ends up being ourselves. Worship is a universal urge, hard-wired by God into every fiber of our being. It’s as natural as breathing. Jesus said we were made this way because ‘the Father seeks...worshippers’. De-pending on your religious background you may need to expand your understanding of worship. For example: worship is more than just music. We say, ‘At our church we have to worship God in spirit and in truth’ No, it’s all done for God’s glory! If worship is just music, then what about all those people who can’t carry a tune at all? One person’s music preference often sounds like noise to another. But not to God - He loves ‘joyful noise’ and all the varieties it comes in. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.(Psalm 100:1)

Our heavenly Father is the “HEART” of God ,(He loves us with an everlasting love)Jesus Christ is the “FACE” of God (He came to earth and lived among us) and the Holy Spirit is the “VOICE” of God (“...whatever He hears, He will speak...”) “Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs.” (Psalm 66:4).

Reading the Bible is an amazing thing. You can learn about the different books written. By reading the Bible you will find out what God did to make the earth, and the wonderful things he did to help the earth.

THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE

The books of the bible each have a different topic. The book of Genesis is about the beginning and Revelation is about the end.All of the books of the bible are very important.

HOW THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE TEACHES YOU

The books of the bible can teach you everything there is to know. You learn how the the first humans were made and how they were tricked by a snake. You also learn about all of the different prophets, about love and the most important of all, the story of how Jesus died on the cross for our Sins. Many people think that it is too hard and that they can’t read the bible but reading the bible is fun.

Photography:-most may see it as only the taking of pictures or the capturing of im-ages. As defined by Google, photography is “the art or practice of taking and processing photographs” however it is much more than just taking pictures. Photography allows us to freeze a certain part in time that will always be with us. Photography allows us to capture emotion from the happiest times to even the most sad. In addition the aspect that makes photography so appealing is the fact that everyone can do it. You don’t need a fancy camera you don’t even need a cheap one. The ability of photography is at our fingertips inside of our cell phones. Modern technology has made it possible for every-one to be a photographer within there own ability. Granted there are people who make a living taking pictures of there surroundings and people but at the end of the day we are all capturing the beauty of the world God has created for us.

Photography also allows us to stay connected with areas around the world and the state they are in, the ability to capture an area, people and overall buildings, allows us to see the world and all the beauty it holds. Photography as a whole is an art form that allows us to stretch our creative ability to get the most unique and special images we can. Photography allows us to push our minds but many do not see it from this point of view. Most see it as just looking through a lens and pushing a button. In addition to being all of these things, photography is also just fun. It allows for bonding and quality bonding time. It allows us to catch moments we want to remember forever.

PHOTOGRAPHYJamal Desroches

All in all photography allows us to see the world from a different point of view. It allows us to see all the detail and beauty put into making this world, and allows us to ad-mire Gods ability to create all these things on earth for us. Simply put it allows us to capture Gods genius. In conclu-sion photography is God”s way of telling us the world is ours to explore and it is up to us to decide how we will do that. Some may stay behind the lens and capture the worlds beauty, others may experience it themselves through trav-els, and some may just want to look upon the work of God.

Praise dancing is a Ministry. If you are a praise dancer before doing min-istry you should think about these two ques-tions1. Is it just dancing?2. Or Is it worshipping?

God desires our praise through dance Psalm 149:3 Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre!

Praise Dance Tamar Tomlinson What is dancing?

Praise Dancing is a form of worship to God by using the body as an instrument to bring out the word of God. Prasie Dancing is also known as a worship dance or liturgical dance.

Praise dancing is considered a joyful expression to God. It is a way to give God praise and worship. When we dance we have to make sure it is not a performance to promote self; but to bring glory and honor unto God.

When you dance just say ‘‘Lord I give myself away so you can use me. Everything in me use it for your glory.”

There’s a Praise on the inside that I cannot keep to myself. and I express my praise through Praise Dancing!!

PRAISE DANCING IS WHAT I DO!! WHAT I DO!! OH GLORY I AM EXCITED ABOUT JESUS.....

By: Donnaree Princess Wynter Fashion can be defined as a way to make or construct usually with the use of imagination and ingenuity. Fashion in simpler terms is how you put yourself together. As Christians we must adorn ourselves modestly. We are the children of the king and cannot be seen as anything less.

THE BREAKDOWN:Rule #1:  Modesty. Our bodies are temples. Therefore, we are to have respect for our bod-ies. Your assets should not be broadcasted in any way shape or form. Fashion is one of my main hobbies. Finding outfits for church and other special occasions fills my day with joy. Fashion is dynamic, it is always changing. There are styles and colors for every season. This year the colors varied more so than past years. For example, in the spring the colors were soft including nectarine, dusk blue, etc. However, these soft colors would be accompanied by one darker color such as emerald. For the summer, the colors were the lighter colors, were exchanged for a darker color such as coral. Currently we are in the fall season. The colors are still vibrant however there is a neutral feeling in the air. The colors of the fall and upcoming winter season are acai, brown, linen green, emerald, and of course black. I’m very excited for the winter season. Though it is a dark time it is a very comfortable yet edgy time for those in the fashion industry.Everyone has a different style. So choose clothes that are the most comfortable to you and define who you are. Here are a few pointers to help you make sure you always look presentable.

Females: Do not wear anything too tight or too loose. If you have to constantly pull or tug at anything so nothing shows, then sorry your clothes don’t fit you. Never wear an outfit that you have to think twice about. If you have to say “I probably shouldn’t” then don’t!When getting dressed remember you are of a Royal Priesthood therefore dress like Daughters of a King. Let you light shine so in everything you wear so someone will notice even if they don’t know why. Also on a weekly basis makeup is brought into the church. We always put on our Sunday best to go into the house of God. However, we don’t always take into consideration that our “Sunday Best” includes our makeup. Ladies, at some point you look in the mirror and add a little something to brighten our skin com-plextion, highlight our eyes, or simply match our outfit. The King’s daughters however, should always present themselves as The Best.

Males:-          Wear your size. As Sons of God you are to look neat at all times-          Stay well groomed, your unkept facial hair can mess up a neat outfit.

My name is Donnaree Wynter. I am the owner and master stylist of my business DonnaRee styles. I am a freelance makeup artist with a difference. My goal is not just to make up your face but to capture your beauty. As a makeup artist, I find makeup to be both relaxing and creative. Growing up I was not the best at art. I was not creative; instead I would draw flowers, hearts, squiggly lines, and faces. I guess my future was right in front of my face. My mother al-ways complained on how much I used to mix produces and that she could never find anything. Well everything happens for a reason. I started my freelance business in June of 2013. How-ever, I have been interacting with makeup for three years. I am a traveling artist, and am in the process of artistry boot camp learning the techniques of everything that is makeup.Makeup has evolved over the years and has become a large part of our everyday lives. Makeup is an outlet in most cases. Makeup in my opinion should be used to capture and enhance beauty. It is a beautiful aspect to our lives. Makeup is both creative and relaxing.

THE LORD OUR HELP

When Christians seek God first in everything they do,God promises to be with them and their problems see them through. He promises to be with them, and their problems he will take care,To make sure that their needs are met, for God our help is near. The Lord our help is near us, when the going gets rough,The Lord our help is near us, when life around us gets tough. The Lord our help is near us, to lead and to guide. The Lord our help is near us, forever by our side. The Lord our help is near us, when we live our life in fear,The Lord our help is near us, to comfort and to cheer. The Lord our help is near us, when money in the bank is low,The Lord our help is near us, where so ever we may go.The Lord our help is near us, our near and dearest friend,The Lord our help is near us, even down to the very end.The Lord of host is with us, the God of Jacob is our shield,He is always there with us, when our life to him we yield. He is waiting to embrace us, with his hands outstretch wide,The Lord our help is near us, forever by our side.
