INTRODUCTION

The Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry is incorporated under sec�on 25,sub sec�on 1 and clause (a) of the Indian Companies act 1956 a�er obtaining the License from Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.

This organiza�on was established a�er holding a series of discussions with various sec�ons of the business and industrial community from all parts of the region. Some of the eminent indusrialists, businessmen, academicians and other administrators also took part in these delibera�ons and became a part of the decision making group.

The Group had reviewd the development of Trade, Commerce and Industry in Telangana region during Pthe �mes of Nizam’s rule, Hyderabad state and subsequently formed Andhra Pradesh state in the year 1956. A�er taking stock of the situa�on in all respects, it was decided to keep a more result-oriented, transparent and dedicated ins�tu�on in place to take care of Trade, Commerce, Agriculture and Industry in Telangana area with much more concentra�on and a�en�on.

TECCI wants to play a considerable role for the involvement of companies in the Corporate Social Responsibility with a concentrated effort. TECCI is also not ablivious of its role to be playerd in respect of Climate Change which has become a formidable global crisis today. TECCI always makes an endeavor to be on its toes in fulfilling these obliga�ons.

TECCI has made it con�nuos process to innovate its wide ranging ac�vi�es and consulata�ons to meet the ever changing industrial demands. it shall maintain a good rapport not only with the Apex Bodies like Federa�on of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Indutry (FICCI), Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM), Confedera�on of Indian Industry(CII), Indian Na�onal commi�ee of Interna�onal Chambers of Commerce (INCICC) and All India Organiza�on of Employees (AIOE) but also at the leading Chambers of commerce and indutry across the Globe in order to avail the maximum advantage in different aspects of the business and indutrial community.

TECCI has also submi�ed a detailed Report to the Commi�ee for consulta�ons on the situa�on in Andhra pardesh headed by Jus�ce B.N.Srikrishna, former Judge, Supreme Court of India, with facts and figures in june 2010 which is made available on the website .

OBJECTIVES

1) To find out the resons for the backwardness of Trade, Commerce, Agriculture and Indutry in different sectors in Telangana region during the last 58 years

2) To apprise the Entrepreneurs and Indistrialists of the oppor�ni�es available and the steps to be taken for the improvement and development

3) To organize and mo�vate them to be second to none as far as their business and industries are concerned by providing them with the requisite data.

4) To create a new business and industrial climate which stands as an inspira�on in crea�ng a new zeal and enthusiasm in the business community.

5) To make Telangana as one of the self –dependent and rich regions in the country as far as Trade, Commerce, Agriculture and Industry are concerned.

6) Crea�ng and Organizing adequate communica�on among the Members for discussion on common issues and problems.

7) Liaison with State and Central Governments and other concerned Agencies and Authori�es on behalf of the Members.

8) Collec�on and dissemina�on of sta�s�cs and other useful informa�on among the Members to keep them abreast of the prevailing trends in the business and industrial atmosphere.

9) Conduc�ng Conferences, Seminars, Workshops and Exhibi�ons in the process of improving the business and industrial ac�vity at the Na�onal and Interna�onal level.

The Telangana region has not achieved the progress the way it had to. Hence, TECCI wants to concentrate with much more tenacity and commitment in the key areas of the following sectors. 1. Small, Medium and Major Industries 3. Agriculture 2. Power 4. Trade and Commerce

The TECCI prepares consolidated reports periodically on the status of these ac�vi�es in Telangana region and submit it to the Government for the required and adequate support to be extended to the Traders, Entrepreneurs and Industrialists in respect of the following issues. 1. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSAny Firm, Individual, Partnership, Company, Corpora�on, Small Scale Industry or Associa�on, engaged or interested in Trade, Commerce, Agriculture, Industry, Mining, Transport or other mercan�le pursuits is eligible for elec�on as an Associate Member. Such member being liable to pay an Annual Subscrip�on as may be fixed in respect of an Associate Membership.

COMPANY MEMBERSAny Company or corpora�on engaged in Trade, Commerce, Agriculture, Industry, Mining, Transport or other mercan�le pursuits shall be eligible for elec�on as a Company Member.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSAny Associa�on established for the purpose of promo�ng the interests of any sec�on of Trade, Commerce, Agriculture, Industry or Finance, may be affiliated to TECCI and join as an Affiliate Member provided that such an Associa�on files its rules and its list of Members and the names of its office-bearers from �me to �me.

SSI MEMBERSA company or corpora�on or firm which is classified under SSI with a cer�ficate from the Department of Industry or under the Government defini�on as per Industrial Development and regula�on act from �me to �me is eligible to be an SSI Member.

FIRM MEMBERSAny firm or partnership in Trade, Commerce, Agriculture, Industry, Mining, Transport or other mercan�le pursuits shall be eligible to be a Firm Member.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSAny individual engaged in Trade, Commerce, Agriculture, Industry, Mining, Transport or other mercan�le pursuits but not associated with any firm or partnership or any Company or Corpora�on as Managing Partner or Managing agent or Managing Director or Secretary or Manager or Officer shall be en�tled to become an Individual Member.

LIFE MEMBERSIndividuals, Firms, Partnerships, Companies, Corpora�ons and Associa�ons who are eligible for Ordinary Membership can be admi�ed as Life Members at the discre�on of the Managing Commi�ee and shall a�er admission, they are en�tled to all the privileges of Ordinary Members during their life �me. Life Member shall pay a sum equivalent to 10 �mes the rate of subscrip�on in addi�on to the Admission Fee as applicable to all categories of Ordinary Members from �me to �me.
