LINCOLNSHIRE LIFEMASTHEAD - The name of the magazine is ‘Lincolnshire Life’ which is shown in a large bold font so it is clear to the reader. This helps the reader to establish the genre of the magazine which encourages readers interested in Lincolnshire to buy and read the magazine. The font is in a formal, newspaper style which will attract an older audience. The colour is gold which suggest the socio-economics of the readers, they are likely to be wealthy and the masthead shows this.

COVER LINE - A cover story is the main story of a magazine usually involving an interview inside on a full page spread. This cover story - ‘A longwool story’ - The county’s rare breed enthusiast - This cover story is relevant to Lincolnshire which entices people who are interested in Lincolnshire to read the magazine.

SELLING LINE - The selling line for this magazine is ‘FULL OF LINCOLNSHIRE FULL OF LIFE’ - This entices anyone who is interested in Lincolnshire to read the magazine as it says Lincolnshire in bold writing. Furthermore, this selling line immediately suggests that Lincolnshire is an interesting place to be as it says ‘full of life’

LINCOLNSHIRE LIFE- The main coverline is ‘Honey, I found a new

career, The Artisan Honey Company’ - This is in big, bold writing which makes it really stand out on the page. The play on words and the fact the ‘Artisan Honey Company’ is in red writing also makes it stand out as the main coverline.

- Barcode - Identification of the magazine

- Screamer - The screamer on this magazine could be the same as the main coverline ‘Honey, I found a new career’ followed with the ‘Artisan Honey Company’. This is for the same reason, it uses a big, bold font which shouts at you on the page encouraging you to read the magazine. However, this magazine is for a predominantly older audience and therefore does not have a strong example of a screamer like a perhaps more enthusiastic, exciting magazine aimed at a young target audience.
