There continues to be lots of progress happening throughout Kennewick and it is exciting to be able to drive to any area of our City and see new businesses, new homes, and new schools being completed. All of the success we continue to experience is due to the amazing partnerships we have and the love we share with you for this community! Currently the City is busy working on the 2019/2020 biennial budget and reviewing each of our over 300 service areas. The budget is a guiding document for how we will continue to sustain service levels, support our growing community, and prepare for the future. It is

not just about where dollars will be spent, but more about developing implementation strategies to meet Council priorities for our continued success. As in previous bienniums, we have sought input from those who live and work in Kennewick on their personal budget priorities. Over 1,100 took our Citizen Budget Survey this summer and those survey results and comments are provided to City Council as part of the budget review process. We also invite the community to attend our Council meetings and workshops in the coming months to hear the budget presentations and departmental updates on our service priorities. The Kennewick City Council meets Tuesdays at 6:30 pm at Kennewick City Hall, 210 W 6th Ave. Agendas and council meeting packets are available on our webpage at www.go2kennewick.com. In addition to our Council meetings, we have numerous ways that those we serve can stay connected to what’s happening in Kennewick. We post or share new information throughout the week to include project updates, employment opportunities, special events, road closures and much more via Facebook & Twitter (@KennewickWA) and on our webpage. Thank you for the privilege of serving Kennewick and thank you for your partnership!
