The power of God becomes effective in our lives when our Soul & Body are given over to our Spirit. When the image on our Heart is dominated by the things of God, our Mind is able to maintain an awareness of the moving of the Spirit within us and act out in our Body both the general and specific will of God. Self is decreased and Christ is increased.

There are 2 methods to activate, [make active], the Spirit within your Soul & Body: Building Up, and Stirring Up

1) Building Up: Is our daily maintenance and growth. This happens through studying the Word, preaching & confessing the Word, daily prayer for yourself and others, praying in tongues, meditation, witnessing & discipleship, and living a life separated from sin.

2) Stirring Up: Is a momentary quickening to meet a need. Can be caused by an external stimulus that triggers a seed in our Heart; Being moved with compassion by seeing a need; Hearing the preached Word, Having the laying on of hands from a fellow believer, [like a jump start]. A stirring can also be called upon by our own will/ choice, by fervent: Prayer, Confession/ Proclamation, Praying In Tongues, Meditation On God's Character, Remembering / Rehearsing past victories.

JUDE 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost

EPHESIAN 5:18 Be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms, hymns, & spiritual songs

2TIMOTHY 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

2PETER 2:1 This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:

MATTHEW 9:35 Jesus went forth, & saw a great multitude, & was moved, [stirred], with compassion toward them, & he healed their sick.

The more built up you live, the less stirred up you will need to get, when a problem comes. "If you stay ready you don't have to get ready!"

Our Beliefs:

God: There is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), in the son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit). The Bible: We believe in the Holy Bible (both Old & New Testaments) as the inspired word of God. It is free from all error, complete in its revelation and serves as the final authority for the Christian life and faith. Salvation: We believe that the bible teaches that man has a sin nature (Genesis 8:21). This came about because of the loss of dominion (control of the flesh) originally given to man by God. (Genesis 1:28). The result of this loss of dominion are sins (Ephesians 2:1). And sins bring death (James 1:15). We believe that the message of salvation that delivers us from sins, and the sin nature is found in the words of Jesus to Nicodemus.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

We believe that this command was put into practice on the day of Pentecost by the apostles and is the example that the apostolic church both taught and practiced. Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost

We believe the evidences and manifestations of the holy spirit are given by scripture. Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.4. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The Church: We believe that the church is the body of believers who have obeyed the salvation message as outlined by Jesus (John 3:5). And are being led by the spirit. (Romans 8:14)
