Primary conclusions• Product function has definite

relationship with dimensional tolerances.

• Research is limited due to requirements of extra ordinary resources for experimentation and data analysis

• FE simulation can be used successfully for simulation of relationship between product function and dimensional tolerances.

Page 14: Relationship of Product function with Dimensional tolerance Student : Irfan Anjum Manarvi Supervisor: Prof. Neal Juster

• Improve upon existing FE model• To carry out more FE simulations and

analyse results on the bases of experimental data

• Establish sources of errors and minimise differences.

• Move from simple to complex applications

• Evolve strategy for using FE simulations to establish relationship between product function and dimensional tolerances

Future direction of research
