1 Preface Dear users of AFAB-Evo,

the third AFAB-Evo release 2018 is completed and at your disposal.

2 WLTP-Data: Display only for MB-Vans (valid for OC, Export, MBVD)

In the Release 3/2017, new fields for the WLTP-data were incorporated in the “Registration” tab in AFAB-Evo. Those fields could be displayed for all branches, be it processing volume, selections, or order view. From now on, these fields will only include data relevant for MB-Vans. Consequently, the fields will no longer be displayed for orders originating in the branches 1, 2, 3 and 6.

The WLTP-data display will only be available for MB-Van orders.


3 Display of CO²-Data for Trucks (valid for OC, Export, MBVD, only Truck) This release presents the introduction of the new tab “CO2” to AFAB-Evo. The tab includes a detailed display of CO²-data for a vehicle. This tab is avail-able in the order view and processing volume modes. Ascertaining the CO²-values is a statutory requirement for all 4x2 and 6x2 vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 16 tons and a production date as of 01.01.2019. The data is transmitted via the interface from CCV-Print to AFAB-Evo. The standardized Vecto tool is used to ascertain the CO²-values. Vecto is a CO²-simulation method (Vehicle Energy Consumption Calculation Tool) that resorts to measured input factors over and above proving grounds (typical mission profiles). The following issues are taken into account in the display:

General vehicle data like, make (trade name), manufacturer, maximum gross vehicle weight, etc. Resulting values (values attained from the simulation process)

Pay attention to the remark in the displayed disclaimer shown in the respective tab.


3.1 Display in the Order View

The “CO2” tab has been added to the order view.


3.2 Display in Processing Mode (analogous to selections)

The new “CO2” tab is also available in the pro-cessing mode.


3.3 General Data

In the “General Data” section, an overview of vehi-cle data like, make (trade name), manufacturer, maximum gross vehicle weight, etc. are displayed.


3.4 Result values

The values obtained from the simulation process are displayed in the “Result values” section.


3.5 Excel-Export

Click on the “XLS-Export” button in order to export the CO²-data in to excel-Data.


The CO²-data open in an excel-file and can then be saved, or printed out.


3.6 Printout as PDF

To generate a PDF-file from the CO²-data, call up the order in the order view and click on the “Print” button.


The “CO2” checkbox is found in the print list. Acti-vate the checkbox to generate a pdf-file from the CO²-data.


Subsequently, the generated pdf-file can be saved or printed out.


3.7 History

Only the date and time of admission of the CO²-data are lodged in the order history. The changes made to the individual CO2-values are not saved in the history. Because the data is delivered from the CCV-Print system, the entry “CCV-PRINT” is displayed as “Us-er-ID/Program”.


4 Display of the engine number with prefix (valid for OC, Export, MBVD, only MB-Vans) From now on, the field “Prefix engine number” will be displayed next to the engine number for all MB-Van orders in the tabs “Dates” and “Technics” under processing volume, selections and order view.

Under the “Dates” tab, the field is displayed in the section “Further date-fields”.

The field is also available in the “Technics” tab.


4.3 Prefix engine number in selection filters and selection views

You can now also filter on the basis of the prefix engine number under selections. You may select the field “Prefix engine-no.” as crite-rion.

The field may also be selected in the selection view and displayed in the respective column in the selec-tion result. The field name here is “P-Engine-No.”.


5 Changes to master data maintenance for Texts/Prices/Costs (valid for OC) As part of the FUTURE project, this function was identified as “financial critical”, because the master data also contains prices that affect order confir-mations/invoices. This data could not previously be managed and authorized separately for each branch, because there was no branch reference and therefore every user in the order center who was authorized to create/change this data could also change/delete data from other branches. Furthermore, it was previously not possible to trace when and by whom data was last changed. This release presents the following changes made to master data maintenance for texts/prices/additional costs:

The selection for “Offer” has been omitted in all functions. If there is a need to access master data for AFAB-offers, the respective existing keys within the branch are displayed in the selection dialogs depending on the order (domestic/export) and can be used for the offer. However, automa-tic assignment is no longer possible for offers.

With release deployment, all existing keys for texts/prices/ additional costs are copied to branches 1, 3, 5, 7, 8. Automatic assignment to the actual branch is not possible. Subsequently, the users in the order centers can/should check the master data and

carry out a cleanup, so that only the relevant keys are available under the respective branch. In the selection dialogs in AFAB-Evo, only those keys are displayed that are available for the relevant branch in the order; the use of keys is also on-

ly possible for specific branches. From now on, the same keys with different contents can be created in different branches. From now on, a user can only select/edit the branches for which he is authorized in AFAB-Evo (e.g. a user who is only authorized for branch 1, only

has access to the keys of branch 1). A “mini history” has been added so that it is recognizable which user (User ID) has made a change last.


5.1 Administrate Texts/Prices/Costs

The customization/adaptations can now be seen in the dialogue’s header. The optional field “Offer” is cancelled. Additionally, the selection fields “Branch” and “Lan-guage” have been added. Possible inputs: - Branch: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8 - Language: 1=German, 2=English, 3=French,

4=Spanish

The selection result was adapted to include the re-spective columns. - Column “Br.” = Branch - Column “Lang.” = Language (was displayed in the

sixth key-position till recently) - Column “Usg.” = Usage (E=Export,

I=Inland/Germany) - Column “Mode” = Mode (T=Text without price,

P=Text with price, N=Additional costs-text)


5.1.1 Texts / Prices / Costs new

These elements have also been integrated in the generation of new data sets. You can now select designations like, “Usage”, “Mode” and “Branch”. In the right section, information as to who and when a change was made will be displayed in the future.

5.1.2 Edit Texts / Prices / Costs

These changes have also been adopted in the pro-cess of editing a current (existing) data set.


5.1.3 Copy Texts / Prices / Costs

The changes have also been adopted in the process of copying a current (existing) data set.

5.1.4 Delete Texts / Prices / Costs

When deleting, the respective columns are dis-played in the confirmation dialogue.
