All God's children are welcome, wherever they are
from, whatever their age, the contents of their wallet, how they
speak, and whatever their abilities or disabilities.
We welcome all because Jesus welcomes all: Individuals and
families of any race or culture, sexual orientation, gender
identity, gender expression, or relationship status.
All are one, reconciled to God in Christ Jesus.
You Are Welcome Here.

NOTE FROM PASTOR
Who are Jesus’ lambs? What does it mean for us to tend them? What does it take? How do we feed them?
What are they hungry for?
The Risen Lord Jesus asks Peter, asks us, too, and we respond with our lives…
As we meditate on the appearances of the risen Christ and what they mean to us this day, this conversation
between Jesus and Peter bears remembering….remember when the poor are demonized for their poverty…when
people of color are unjustly profiled or discriminated against…when justice is dependent on one’s wealth…
when some can afford to live with health care but others can’t afford it and don’t have that luxury or
choice…when people are denied love and acceptance because of their gender or gender expression…
There is a lot to consider in this passage. What does it mean to tend God’s sheep, God’s tender and fragile
lambs? What do we feed them? What does that ask of us?
Do you love me? Jesus asks……
May God grant us the grace, courage and hearts of gratitude to live out our response.
God’s love and peace

SEMINARIAN FUND ESTABLISHED A fund to assist our seminarians with costs for
their education was established at the April 30th
Council meeting. Currently we have two members of Christ in
seminary and both are trying to work as well as go to class. Funding available for seminary classes is very
limited leaving the students scrambling to cover the high costs of classes needed in order to be prepared to serve
as rostered leaders in the ELCA. This fund will assist with those times when seminarians are not able to stretch
enough to cover costs for classes and candidacy / seminary fees. Please consider a designated gift to this fund.
Make a donation to the Seminarian Fund and help raise up leaders for mission!
5When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of
John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know
that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my lambs." 16
A second time he said to
him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you
know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Tend my sheep." 17
He said to him the
third time, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter felt hurt because he said
to him the third time, "Do you love me?" And he said to him, "Lord, you know
everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep.

th was designated as a work day to clean and reorganize three closets in the Parish Hall. Several
folks turned out and cleaned out all three closets into the Parish Hall. Items sorted and placed in the
appropriate closets in an organized fashion. We were amazed at all the items we found that we didn’t
know we possessed.
CLC is hosting “Nights Alive” for middle-school youth in June. VBS for our younger youth will also take
place in June.
Several of our young people are graduates this May. They will be recognized during worship and there
will be a reception following worship in their honor.
Regular Council meetings are scheduled the second Sunday in each month at 8 am. If you have an issue
or concern you would like Council to address, please let me know about it prior to the next Council
meeting so we can get it on the agenda.
