Reporter’s DutiesReporter’s Duties• Writing brief reports of club meetings and
activities
• Write interesting news items
• Make a collection of all newspaper items referring to club
• Put together a picture/power point presentation/video of your club activities
What To IncludeWhat To Include
• Be sure you know WHO? WHAT? HOW? WHEN? WHERE? and WHY?
• Compose on a computer if you can, if not write as neatly as you can
• Develop mailing list of local media• Meet press deadlines• Send news articles via email if you can to
ensure a quicker turn-a-round.
Working With Media
• Attach digital photos
• Read newspaper reports of various clubs to get ideas
• For small clubs combine the duties of Reporter and Historian
