• This is a long shot of Dylan O’Brien (the actor who plays Thomas from

‘The Maze Runner’).• His clothes are quite dirty, therefore

expressing that he may not have washing facilities or that he may have

been doing something. Gloves and vest portray that he may have been doing something rather dangerous.

• Title in the background- He is the main focus.

• Dark lighting except on the grass and over him.

• The background is black apart from the grass and the blue writing.

• This shot seems to be in the middle of a field.

• This is a mid shot of Dylan O’Brien• He is wearing the same top,

therefore showing that he mustn't have many clothes.

• There is somebody holding a prop-the knife which is pointed towards

Thomas. • The lighting is quite bright –

outside.• Location is outside and seems as

though they are quite high up due to the trees in the background.

• Focus is all on Thomas and the knife as the tress and background

are all blurred along with the other characters’ arm.

• This is a low angle shot of all of the boys crowded around the lift.

• This shot could be used to show that at this point they seem quite

powerful and that we have the point-of-view of someone that

may be looking up towards them.• Thomas is again wearing the

same clothes and all of the other boys seem to be wearing similar,

scruffy clothes.• The lighting behind the boys is

very light, however it is quite dark inside the box/lift.

• This shot is a mid-shot as you can mainly see him, however you can still see the setting and the character in the background.

• Character in the background and surroundings are all blurred out, showing that he is the key focus.

• Same clothing as in the other stills, character also looks rather

dirty.• The location is outside in a

wooded area.• The lighting is quite light, however not too light due to the

trees.

• This is a wide shot of Will Smith and his dog.

• Slight low angle shot which makes him look rather

authoritative.• He is dressed very causally and

quite scruffy.• He has a prop – a gun, which

shows that he may be in some kind of danger.

• The location is in the middle of a road in a deserted town,

• The lighting is bright, and seems to be focusing on them.

• This is a two – shot and a medium close – up of Will

Smith and his dog.• Prop – he is in a car.

• He seems to be wearing the same/similar clothes and looks rather casual.

• Location – in the car which seems to be on a road.

• Lighting – Light outside the window, and light shining onto his face.

• This is a close – up of Will Smith.

• You cannot see what he is wearing in this shot.

• Prop – seems as though he is holding a gun.

• Location – inside a room or building (looks like

walls in the background)• Lighting – Quite dark,

however there is a reflection or some kind of

• This is a Mid shot as your are able to see most of her body and

some of her surroundings.• She seems to be wearing an outfit

specially designed for a certain thing

• Props – there is copper wire in the trees behind her and has a bow and arrows on her back.

• Trees in the background are slightly blurred

• Lighting – The lighting is quite bright

• Location – The trees create us to believe that they are in the woods

• She seems as though she is wearing a coat and scarf, possibly implying that it is

quite blurred out• Location – seems as though it

is in the woods again as there are trees in the background

presenter• She is dressed in her

‘mock’ wedding dress – makes her look rather

important and powerful• Location – she is indoors

and surrounded by lots of people

• Lighting – The lighting brings the focus towards Katniss and away from
