There was barrow after barrow of mulch shifted around muddy areas and garden beds shaped. Thanks to all the parents and staff who helped. There will be more work to come as we get plants and artwork aligned too. Very much loved by our students. The Lorax: The day is nearly here… dress rehearsals are done, sound checks complete, lines are being rehearsed and props are gathered. Our students and staff are very excited to share this moment with you all. If you are coming for dinner, please make sure your child arrives by 5pm to eat and be at the rooms before 5:30pm. Costumes will be at school for easy change. They may go home in their costumes but please return them Friday. Riverwatch: Some of our students had another opportunity to work with OzGreen this week and do some work with the Kalang River Changemakers on Tuesday and Wednesday. We are looking forward to hearing from our students about what impact we can have to support our environment locally and globally. Fun Run: The fun run is this FRIDAY!!! On the last day of school our students participate in the colour fun run. Please make sure you bring a white or pale shirt and shorts to change into before getting on the bus. All sponsorship money needs to come in on Friday so prizes can be ordered. Holidays: After a jam packed Term 3, I am looking forward to a restful break before we bring the year to an end in Term 4. We have some exciting things still to come with our Sydney excursion, Swim school, Kinder orientation, Presentation day/ Yr 6 disco followed by the Big Banana fun day. Please enjoy your break safely and see you on Monday 14 th October when school returns for students. Kalang River Changemakers

Some of our students are participating in the OzGreen 2019 Tomorrow’s Changemakers program. On Tuesday, students went along on a catchment tour of the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers, exploring some of their hidden secrets. This was followed by an Action Planning Workshop on Wednesday at the Bellingen Youth Hub. Here students were learning to be informed, involved and empowered to generate solutions that help protect our river systems for future generations.

PRODUCE TABLE EVERY TUESDAY Students sell produce they have grown at school on a Produce table

every Tuesday. We would like to add to this with surplus produce from outside the school that you may be willing to bring in.

SALE THIS WEEK Succulents $2.00 / Pecan Nuts $2.00 bag / Turmeric $1.00

Return and earn- Don’t forget if you have any cans or bottles you wish to donate, you can send them in to school fundraising. We are hoping to fill it up by the end of the term!
