• State considers it reclaimed lake bed as a result of the lake’s lowering in decades past.

• State of Florida identifies Mr. Walker as the riparian owner.

Background

• Mr. Walker requested to purchase the parcel from the FDEP.

• FDEP directed Mr. Walker to comply with the Code requirements in Chapter 33. This Code requires the BCC to consider, at a public hearing, recommendations to submit to FDEP regarding the sale of state-owned property.

• The City of Belle Isle has no objection.

• Lake Conway Water and Navigation District Advisory Board has no objection.
