His voice changes to suit thework he is recording for. TheYouTube video below showinghis ‘best bits’ shows how hecan sound soft and warm, toexciting, to building tensionto being incredibly serious.

Watching Ross Kemp on gangsdocumentary and the advertfor it I realised the voice oversounded serious. Wartnabydid this voice over and I likedhow he built up the seriousatmosphere and how hisvoice made me feel whenwatching the documentary.

We’d like to use a male voice forour documentary because wewould like to keep to theChannel Four style as much aswe can to make sure ourdocumentary sounds andlooks professional.

Wartnaby does the voice overfor many documentaries andadvertisement for ChannelFour, and the way he does aserious voice, we’d like torecord similarly to set thetone and mood of thedocumentary over the factsand driving clips.
