Industrial R&D FellowshipCompanies increase their internal R&D capacity by hiring recent PhD graduates for two yearsFellows gain valuable industrial R&D experience

• NSERC reimburses company $30K/year for salary– Current average salary $55.5K/year

• Over 400 host companies and growing– Over 70% are SMEs

• Increasing industry interest: over 20% growth in each of past two years • Companies report:

– 93% of fellowships are successful– 80% of fellowships increased their internal R&D capability– Two thirds of fellows are offered continued employment at the company

“This programme is huge to KPM. We would not be where we are now without it. Everyone of our IRDFs continues to work with KPM. Without IRDF and IUSRA we would still be 5 people instead of 15+.”
