Preface

This is the seventh issue of the Research Report produced annually by the Seccaode Matematica of the Departamento de Ciencias e Tecnologia of the Universi-dade Aberta. As stated in the previous Research Reports, our goal in producingthis document is to enhance the visibility of the research activities of the mem-bers of this Seccao among our colleagues in the University and our peers in theportuguese and international research communities. This year the Seccao con-tinued the monthly research seminar series titled ”Matematica na AbERTA”, towhich several members of the Seccao have already contributed. The number ofmembers of the Seccao decreased to 12, presently all of them are PhD holders.This Report will be permanently available online at the following URL addresshttp://www.uab.pt/web/guest/organizacao/departamentos/dcet/ sm/investigacao.
