The A726 is located near the site connecting east to East Kilbride and Hamilton. There is a bus route beside the site providing services to Newton mearns, Eaglesham and Broomhill.
DEscRIPTIONThe undeveloped site has a total consented area of 4.22 acres (1.17 ha). It is positioned on the corner of Broom Road and mearns Road with prominent frontages and access is taken from Broom Road.The site is surrounded by detached family homes and Broom parish Church is located across the road from the site on mearns Road. The site is bounded by mearns Road to the south and Broom Road to the west. There are some tree lined areas bounding the site to the east and south. A footpath runs along the south of the site along mearns Road and the site has a relatively flat topography.
